Apex actually getting a splash damage weapon like the EPG could be a real game-changer. All the movement tech has been crying out to be countered with AOE weapons (though the added movement abilities it provides could make things even worse :D).

Rev wasn't a launch hero so who knows, depends on what heroes are included in the OG mode. But from what the trailer suggests the hero pool will probably be limited to only heroes up to Octane (the first post-launch hero)

Honestly they need to go back to basics. The game has just gotten to detached from the og. This will bring some back I believe. For how long, who knows. Can't wait to use old havoc. Like I say, they miss the opportunity to make lots of people happy and to actually make cash without alienating people, by simply giving or do missions etc to get these universal heirlooms. If everyone can get one somewhat easily, guess what, people are happy and will then pay to upgrade the looks. It's literally common sense stuff.

It's not actually the OG abilities and weapons that is what's missing though (for the most part - if they have OG pathy grapple, I'll be back playing for sure). It's the overall playerbase skill level and lack of movement tech knowledge. Back when the game launched and it was just a BR with slightly slicker movement and no fall damage, it was so much fun. Now all the movement combined with power of roller AA makes it a nightmare for most kbm players and generally just too intense a game. It will be interesting to get original shields back, though. I've long maintained that evo shields did nothing positive for the game and going back to high-level shields being rare could be interesting.

Seriously, this whole thing seems low effort. They don't have anything new, so they just throw season 0 into an LTM and made a last minute trailer. Lifeline rework is the only new thing, and that not really that interesting. Sure, there is a new weapon that's also only in the LTM, I think. Pretty disappointing.
