man, i gotta tell ya, you make a really solid point at 11:35. i was actually just having this thought literally an hour ago. i don't really have a chill out and veg out type shooter to play. there's exactly two games i can think of that fit the bill; deep rock galactic, and battlebit remastered. space marine 2 is half horde shooter/half wanna be action rpg. sweaty by default. team fortress is good candidate, but it's old ground, it doesn't have the spark anymore. destiny wanted to be that game so bad, but it just getting in it's own way, on top of trying be a sweatlord's playground. helldivers is just recovering from it's existential crisis, so the jury is still out, but most of my friends have moved on and don't wanna go back. on average, my favorite hobby has become to demanding to just be a hobby.

I have like 4.5K hours and played since season zero but didn't really play the game every waking moment till like season 3. The game fell off when they leaned into E-sports heavily and started listening to "pros" more than then the general census. BO6 is dominating the market and BO6 is probably the most decent COD they released in like 5 years.
