even without aim assist I always find touch controls way better than controller, in every game I played... (I still prefer mnk tho...)also, on switch I find using the joycons gyro to aim is actually really fun and way better than the terrible sticks

Before you get on to try out controller, ensure your controller has the latest firmware update. My controller that I use (Backbone One) has NONE... None of these issues and I'm currently at Lvl 25. The controller settings in game do need more work but nothing like what I see on display here. I appreciate you having this video so the devs know that controller plays want it to be refine so thank you.

max dead zone could mess up your aim a lot, but sadly it might be necessary if you have bad drift, just put the dead zone as low as you can without you having drift

People bitch about drift to much just because it feels weird when in reality that drift means your joystick will respond instantly letting you track players more effectively that coming from a 120,000 kill player day 1

@@dopeproductionstm7300 sometimes a little drift can be ok but some of the controllers i’ve had the drift pulls so hard you have to fight it like you would fight recoil. that’s not the drift you want

@@ekinek847 that's why you play on linear with no deadzone bro , it's insane for controller flickshots with the wingman , and if your controller is that bad just unscrew it pop the joysticks out open the green squares on the joystick base and wipe it with rubbing alcohol that will fix any drifting issues because drifting is caused from dirt getting on the wires

@@dopeproductionstm7300 i know you can fix drift and that’s what i do. but all the best controller players play on linear and whatever and i’ve tried it and i just can’t do it for some reason. i’m pretty simple and just run 6-5 sense with basically standard settings and it works as good as i want it to

On pc i use controller and have the cursor speed maxed out. It might feel weird for you at first merch but the faster the better for speed and efficiency.

Also try claw style for controller, aim/shoot swap to L1/R1 and crouch/jump to L2/R2 you can jump and pull recoil down. Never need to move your thumbs off the sticks, ever. I swapped two years ago to this play style and there's no other way to be on a similar ability as mouse and keyboard. So using claw on mobile with controller will work well against touch screen players.

what i hate about controller support for mobile game is that, most of them never had aim assist support, which make playing with controller on PC vs mobile feel alot different

One thing i figured was that the recoil on an r-301 with an 2x4 scope is pretty hard to control. but if you put it on single fire and hold the shoot button. it will work as an semi-automatic/no recoil gun pretty neat

For those trying to remap the controller buttons in game but finding the functionality not fully supported there is a work around. If you are using an iOS device you can go into settings while the controller is connected and under the general tab select game controller and then custom controls. From there you can remap any button as you see fit. No need to deal with the in game remap feature. Cheerio

If your controller freezes up during mobiles games you need to update the firmware on your controller via an app on pc or your Xbox. This was happening to me like crazy on Rocket League Sideswipe. Was so happy I found the fix action for it.

Developers have confirmed that Apex Legends Mobile will not support controllers at launch. This may come as a disappointment for those who had planned to play the game with a controller. However, there is some good news as well. Developers have also confirmed that they are actively working on implementing controller support. At the moment, devs promise that controller support should come in the “very near future”.

Claw on a tablet > controller…trust me, if you get good at touch controls (especially a bigger device like an iPad) controller players are at a disadvantage

Even with touchscreen, u can also control the aim while jumping, sliding, etc. All u have to do, is to play with 3-4 fingers claw on ur mobile device

If any of yall have the gamesir x2 Bluetooth for Android make sure to connect to the phone as an Xbox controller, the mode with 1 purple light and one green light works like a charm and than make the touch buttons barely visible and setup the display just like apex for console and pc

I used controller on here and had no problem other than custom binds not working. Its WAY smoother if you have a smaller deadzone, because you have to move the stick less to control recoil.

I don't know if anyone has had the same problem but I'm not able to change the button binds to my own (I'm using a ps4 controller through Bluetooth) I'm able to go into the custom loudout but can't get any further. (Edit: with some experimenting it seems only l1 and r1 are messed up)

The fact that you can’t jump and aim on default controller is why I have a goofy controller binds with jump on right stick and crouch/slide on left stick

The stick rotation issue is due to connection. Overall the experience is alright, but could use some work. I use an Xbox series X controller so it's not an issue

i have a rotor riot controller that’s made for mobile and it works just fine, except i can’t access the map since I don’t have the normal weird square in square icon. I don’t have any consoles so this is the best I got. But, i have a 35.0 kd right now and a 100% win rate across 3 games, so…. i think controllers the way to go for me

as an avid fps player who has lost internet for awhile ive tried so hard to get good at some mobile shooters with no controller for a couple months but i just cant get the hang of it and end up being a bot cuz it feels too janky so hopefully i dont have this many problems. you can't invert the Y axis though on the controller. You can change it in the Gyroscope but that has no effect

I played on controller the day after this video came out and non of those issues with disconnection happened to me. Just letting you know unless you recorded this far in advanced of the video coming out it was your controller or Bluetooth or something but not the game messing up.

There's delays because of Bluetooth, not the game. Make sure your phone and controller barely move and have a direct line of sight. The connection bugs out. Does similar on pc via Bluetooth as well
