APEX Auto Magazine komt binnenkort met de TestDrive van de BMW 330e PHEV. Bekijk hier alvast een video waarin de hybride versie van de 3 Serie Sedan maximaal accelereert* en maximaal remt**.
De BMW 3 Serie Sedan is ook verkrijgbaar met een hybride aandrijving wat absoluut goed past bij het sportieve karakter van de auto. Genaamd de 330e komt deze 3 Serie met een Plug-in systeem waardoor-ie niet alleen over een relatief lange afstand, in volledig elektrische modus kan rijden. Maar daardoor is er tevens een vermogens’boost’ voor de 2.0 liter vier-in-lijn benzinemotor. Bekijk de video om te zien wat dat in de praktijk betekent.

Zoals u wellicht zult opmerken is de opmaak van onze FULL THROTTLE-video licht gewijzigd. De meelopende balk bovenin het beeld is de daadwerkelijke meting van de acceleratietijden. De tijden tot 50 km/u en 100 km/u zijn rood onderstreept en geven de 'beste-tijd' meting aan die op een ander moment plaats heeft gevonden en zijn dus niet indicatief voor de acceleratie in de video. Let op: de acceleratie in de video kan kortstondige onderbrekingen vertonen i.v.m. het verkeer.
** Er is een nieuw element (FULL EMERGENCY STOP) toegevoegd aan de video om te demonstreren wat er gebeurt zodra maximaal remmen wordt toegepast om zo te laten zien wat de stabiliteit en remkracht van een auto is in een situatie waar dat nodig is. Deze extreme stresstest (incl. de acceleratie-test) is uitgevoerd door professionals en zou onder geen enkele omstandigheid nagebootst moeten worden. En kijkers moeten begrijpen dat we de acceleratie- en remprestaties van een auto enkel testen op plaatsen waar dat kan en onder omstandigheden die dat toelaten. Feit: Remmen kunnen temperaturen bereiken die hoger liggen dan 500 graden Celsius of 932 graden Fahrenheit.

I count 135 m from 227 kph, which is like 220 real kph, where most cars need 140+ metres to stop from 200. Very nice.

You did a maximum braking stop but the results vary according to tires, tire pressure, tire temp, angle of the road to the horizon, road stickiness from temperature, etc.

Cool tests, how come you didn't use the m laptimer app with/without the m driving dynamics OBD + Gopro iDrive connection?

Apex Auto Magazine You just get the m lap timer app which is free then connect it to the BMW ConnectedDrive in the iDrive. It can show many things with logged telemetry. The M dynamics performance analyzer is also an app but it's connected through wireless OBD. It takes readings off the vehicle. The Gopro, I think works with one or both apps to record on the video the telems.

Spedo is reading 234kph not 227kph

Wolsey67 the GPS is reading 227mph which is more accurate. BMW speedos are always a little out by around 3%, some manufacturers are out by as much as 10%

I counted 11 separation lines (braking distance). Do you know how much distance there is between each line? Also please press horn at the moment you touch the brake pedal. Awesome thing to show!

Apex Auto Magazine So viewers can hear when pedal has been pushed. In this video it is not clear when driver pushed the pedal. no visual or audio feedback about that. We can only see when car really started to brake.

Actually you can hear it when I do the countdown: 3...2...1... and then I brake.

Nice vid. Now I see why my 14 year old Volvo Station wagon beats the acceleration. Don't be fazed about the 330 on the boot if you "only have" V70 2,4. ;) not completely original though.

if my math is right it took him 1179 feet (359 meters) to fully stop the car. 3 football fields.

the fuel consumption indicator is already broken :)), you're full throttle and it's showing the battery is getting charged, and fuel consumption is zero? :)) typical bmw. i'd rather throw my money at a lexus gs450h than another german crap car.

Boy the 450h consumes at least 11L/100km. This 3 series can go as low as fuckall for the first 30km and then about 6 liters in hybrid mode.
