Have used this product five times and it has not disappointed me. One car was a neighbors which was never detailed before. That one I did use 3D one for an initial correction because there were some heavier defects. But each time this product produced a really nice finish.

Hi, newb here. May I ask why you would use the 3d (hybrid all in One right?) and then use this instead of just hutting it after with griots 3 in 1 spray? trying to learn. THANKS.
@jlb3675 Жыл бұрын
@@pkonyoutube I am no expert but in my experience the 3D is a very good product to remove moderate and light swirls and scratches. So I used it in this instance for that reason. But then I wanted to top it off with the Griots and I could have just used the spray as an option, but I didn't have it in my garage. So I wanted to add this ceramic topping so I used this product. You are right though I think the spray would be appropriate to top off the 3D product too.

I’ve used Griot’s Complete Conpound and thought it did well with an orange pad. But last week tried 3D One with a eurofiber 50/50 and the difference was startling. I suspect this has more to do with the pad, but wow. I then used One again with a Griot's red pad to finish and the car looks better than it has in years. Topped it off (as always) with Xtreme Solutions Topper.

Harbor freight one works pretty well and very cheap
@jdstarek2 жыл бұрын
You HAVE to get one...it's a game changer (just make sure to watch plenty of Apex vids before you use it). I second that Harbor Freight comment, no need to spend $400 on a Rupes, Adams, etc. And you can never go wrong with a good ole Porter. But once you get one you'll discover the never-ending world of pads! I'm a big fan of eurofiber 50/50 for a one step. Lake Country, Rupes and Griot's also make fantastic pads...I'm personally not a huge fan of Chemical Guys.

You won't regret it. I am pretty new to the hobby (got my first new vehicle 2 years ago and wanted to take care of it and also to have something to do during lockdown) but while it seems intimidating at first, it's really not a huge deal. Most popular polishes are really forgiving and you'd have to really go out of your way to mess up your paint. I bought an el cheapo polisher from Amazon (the company is called Zota, I assume it's the same factory cranking out a lot of these off-brand polishers) and it works just dandy in my case as a weekend warrior. Got a few decent Lake Country and Buff N Shine pads and have successfully paint corrected 3 vehicles now (including a Grand Caravan and my own F150...piece of advice, start on smaller vehicles!). Take the plunge, your arms will thank you!

Please…get that HF polisher. Add a 6” SPTA backing plate and get their assorted pads. You’ll think it’s all cheap, but you will save your own body from torture otherwise. I’ve used this polisher for 5+ years. Zero issues. Of course there are better ones out there, but you will learn a ton and enjoy the activity 10x more.

I see a lot of videos where they do durability test by spraying every concoction on a test panel and I thought I would share something I learned by accident. I have been using sonax netshield for the last 5 years, for me nothing beats it. I had to wash some bugs of one of my vehicles and I sprayed some jaxwax bugzapper on the windshield and front end....it completely stripped all the netshield off completely...ti think this is because it's enzyme based.??

Their glass sealant is the best I've ever used. Honestly it's one of the least expensive and best upgrades I've ever done to my truck. Being able to see is awesome and it's amazing how many people neglect their windshield and wipers and drive around half blind, when it's ultra easy and cheap to prevent it. Like 12 or 13 bucks a bottle, and I've kept 3 vehicles (2 with large windshields) sealed for like a year and a half and the bottle isn't empty. Usually get a solid 4-5 months out of it on the vehicles that are parked outside, and like 8 or 9 in the case of the van that's garage kept. Magic stuff.
@aaronlothamer66182 жыл бұрын
@@adamcoe Good to know. I’ll give that product a try!
@adamcoe2 жыл бұрын
@@aaronlothamer6618 The biggest thing is to make sure your windshield is SUPER clean before applying. Absolutely worth investing 10 or 15 bucks into proper glass towels like the rag company diamond pattern ones, and I really like Invisible Glass. If I have time I'll even go over the glass with a Magic Eraser before the Invisible Glass just to get all the gunk off that I can. Overkill for sure and I definitely don't do it every time but those erasers are bad ass for quickly hitting your mirrors and crap.

Always funny to me to hear young people say something is going to be “a lot of work” when it’s really just “actual work”. If you’re going to try to ‘correct’ paint by hand, do yourself a favor and go pick up some old school cleaner wax like Kit and have at it. This is like using a clay bar, compound, and paste wax in one. It ain’t pretty, but it does make the job about as easy as it gets by hand. THEN do a wash to try to get back to your paint base, and apply your fancy spray on ceramic wax. Otherwise, if you’re going to go the fancy route with your wax routine don’t cheap out and not buy the orbital polisher.
