It was Japan who turned Taiwan against China during the war. Sorry for killing the mood but she was the victim not the bad guy. That's not entirely true. What made Taiwan the country you see here is the Nationalists that fled from China when Communism grew too strong. Yes, Taiwan was tossed around in the beginning, but once the Nationalism took it's grip, Taiwan was stable. And besides, it's not like Japan abused her, considering that she refers him over China. During the tossing of Taiwan, Japan and China added in very useful things, such as roads, cities, supplies, new fruits, and so on. Taiwan was slowly gaining power at this time.
