I put this song when my students work on the Nasa internet site with the solar system interactiv interface. They had to watch stuff like the comet Oumouamua or transcribe distances etc.. I didnt knew they liked the music but once I had to stop it and they asked me to put it again, i just knew it would fit the activity!

@rodriguespepper2 жыл бұрын
@@loljoker127 Sure! I'm still in the process though, takes a lot. We're talking about decades of music, one record at a time. Here's how I started doing it: 1. I went to Discogs and wrote down on a list every record of each of his aliases plus variations. 2. I find it easier to listen to each record in chronological order rather than per alias. So the next step was to order every record per release date/year. 3. In most cases, every week was dedicated to a single record or a small chunk of a big record. The point was to leave some time to see if some songs were meant to grow on me after a little bit of listening, which means that I listened to every song 7 times on average before moving on (once a day for a week). 4. Listen to every song paying attention to details, it's worth it! I find it best to listen to his songs before bed, no interruptions. 5. Support Richard David James!

@@mister_cjw The first ever song that I came across from Richard was "Afx v237" (the song from the Rubber Johnny video). Not present on the average Aphex Twin starter pack, but it was enough to change my life forever haha

anybody know the chord progression from the beginning?
@solarean3 жыл бұрын
A# minor, C# major, then repeat. At third repeat you put F# major right after C# major. That’s basically it
@solarean3 жыл бұрын
After the first apparition of the F# major, it’s four times Abmin-C#maj before seeing the F#maj again though instead of only 3.
@solarean3 жыл бұрын
Another thing is the chords are slightly detuned: they’re on a slightly lower pitch than they would normally be, probably around 435hz instead of 440hz. That makes them sound calmer and more muted.
