Perhaps I’m biased because I was lucky enough to experience it live at the Manchester Warehouse Project gig, but ‘rfc pt8’ (9:32) has such glorious vibes. I’d adore an album weaving tracks of that nature - gentle, atmospheric, but with typical aphex percussion and acid riffs. Superb collection though. God I’m hyped for Field Day!

I love aphex twin fans. Ya'll (we all) have such elegant ways to describe tracks. This gentleman has such a kooky, fun fanbase. Genuinely jealous you got to see him live. Discogs, Wikipedia, and rateyourmusic all have expansive lists of his work. For the music itself, I recommend KZbin, soundcloud, internet archive, and soulseek, as well as aphex twin’s own website on warp, which contains bonus tracks not found anywhere else

Selected Ambient Works 1 1986 -92, regarded by the British as one of the best electronic albums, again this is relative and subjective to factors like education, intellect and exposure. KJ the strange thing is I have the cd album, well the cd cover without the cd which is either lost or misplaced, how weird.

@@memorytheater his/your volume of work will one day be seen as vastly significant if there is any justice.. Do you have any advice on how to increase output for musicians etc? I have ideas but rarely finish them or just don't get them how i wish i had etc, i keep getting diverted by life events etc which stop me being the me i could have been :(

@@CastleHassall I've been making music for a decade ,( but I'm primarily a painter sculpture) He's some ideas that might help. Take ur p.c or another room, keep switching the environment when u create. I have trouble finishing tracks,don't worry everyone does. Richard afx prolly sits down 10 hours a day 10 weeks in a row making music. It's his job,he has the time. Give people some samples, example " sample 1,2,3...etc. have then listen to small parts and have them rate each sample. Use that feedback to create a NEW track with the same instruments as the top track they liked. Hope this helps

The main reason I'm wondering about productivity and getting stuff out there etc is I've got about three albums worth of early experimental electronic tracks i did back in the early 1990s to 2000ish but i mastered them on headphones and bad speakers so they sound too boomy on most soundsystems.. i was going to remaster them but my Mac is so old i can't get it to hook up to the internet to get the tracks online and am too broke to buy a new computer.. But what bugs me is if I'd masters them better and put them out back then i think people who like experimental beats and sounds etc might have really liked them and they'd maybe have been seen as groundbreaking, but now time has moved on and even if i put them out for people to hear they won't be seen as as original as they were back then, the style and way i worked with the sounds etc Also my accoustic songs I've got on my channel now, i keep meaning to record them properly, ones like "Blaze" etc but just keep avoiding doing it and can't figure out how to avoid that avoidance!:(

@@whywhywhy9659 yeah he was on form alright, blumming loved it! Saw most of Nina after aphex and thought she played some belters, tbh I was still buzzing from Afx! Took an age to actually get in due to us arriving when it seemed everybody else was due to the 10pm last entrance so didn't really hear too many of the other djs. Do remember some good sounds on the concourse tho! Had an amazing night tho as always with Aphex and I've been fortunate to see him 3 out of the 4 times he's played WHP.
