Would love to see the unreleased Aphex Twin - Bliss 2d G-Major. Also hear a Juno in this song.

Lichen and Rhubarb please! Do you see these line as implying chords (like a Gb9 with no third)?

How do you think RDJ actually made this (and which gear he used)? How would he have sequenced the cello/bassoon (assuming they were separate patches on something like a Juno)
@Digiphex3 жыл бұрын
This is really sonically different than any of his other stuff at the time. I would say it is so different because it is a Yamaha pipe organ from the 90's in a real chapel with real echos and a real metronome sitting there clicking. Those organs had this resonant sound with selectable harmonics and stops, with buttons for bassoon and cello. But that doesn't mean I can't come close with my normal "go to" synths that I love like Juno 60 etc. I don't think it is sequenced. I think there are two tiers on this organ and some of the notes are not quantized either. That's why he plays it with a metronome.
@raynefaded3 жыл бұрын
@@Digiphex Oh, that would make sense! I've never heard he was using a real organ on this track before though...

@@Digiphex wow, how do you know this??? that's insane, would never guess it was an acoustic recording!!
@Digiphex3 ай бұрын
@@Ciopekwah I don't know for sure. Just using my ears and what I know of recording for 40 years or so. And using all the clues like the metronome and choice of sounds, the real reverberation, and it is not sequenced like most of his stuff. Just my opinion though.

What are the 3 chords that are being looped? I always wanted to play this song on keyboard...
@remon5632 жыл бұрын
G - C - F, The synth is detuned so it sounds like there are some fancy notes but I dont believe they are.
@Phantasma999 Жыл бұрын
In this cover track there is only one chord: F#sus2 ( F# G# C#)
@skywardstargaze1768 Жыл бұрын
It's in D flat key. The chords being looped are A flat, D flat, G flat, in a V-I-IV progression.

PLEASE man, could you explain further concerning the metric of this piece? I noticed while watching the video that i could not find a place where the melody repeats itself
@Digiphex2 ай бұрын
I believe it was live in a cathedral with a metronome. It isn't a pattern on some sequencer so you can't really hear repeats.
