What you can hear at 0:40 - 2:40 is the sound of the railcar from Andrei Tarkovsky film "Stalker". After watching the movie, I immediately remembered this serene sound. I was at this show and it remains one of the best gigs/DJ sets I've ever attended. When it started, the crowd were unsure where it would go: - whether it would be ambient or a near-impenetrable onslaught like the Field Day 2017 gig was. Then, D-Shake's Technotrance came on and we realised we were in for a good time. So many highlights but the standout moments for me were Aphex's own 'Fork Rave' from the Soundcloud dump and, of course, the gorgeous wave of 'Stone in Focus', which most of us thought was the final song before it became clear we had another half hour. What an evening this was. It's a shame he keeps returning to Victoria Park in London rather than going to an indoor venue where the sound and visuals are more focused. Drumsheds 2025???
