Aphmau Crew builds zane for this week's episode of noob vs pro! We decided not to have a challenge item for this build battle because building zane from memory is challenging enough. if you don't already know zane is a character from aphmau who is voice acted by our good friend kestin! Kestin has been playing zane for a long time and so we thought it would be fun to build zane for noob vs pro. When he was a litle kid, Zane and his older brother Garroth were playing in the snow when Garroth threw a snowball at his eye with a rock inside. That's why he covers his eye with his hair. Also he wears the mask because he has freckles

As a pixel artist of some sort, your eye troubles are very relatable. If it'll help, take the white/light color you want to use, and make it three blocks long, along the bottom, and then adjust the height as you see fit. Then, take the eye color you want, and start with replacing the white on the inner-side of the eye- so the right eye's pupil would be on the left side, and the left eye's on the right, so they're "facing" each other. If you want to make it more anime-esque, make it a 2x2 instead 2x1. Darkest eye color goes on top, to mimic the pupil, and at the top of the eye, put in a black line for eyebrows, and voila! I'm used to working in small spaces, so I thought I'd share this, in case it could help you with the eyes in future character builds, Mac! I don't know if I'm wording it too well, but since block builds are a lot like pixel art, being built out of squares, it feels familiar, even though I've never tried it before. Mostly because, Minecraft won't run on my current old desktop, bleh. XD

Actually, he's right about the eye. Zane's character did, in fact, lose his eye. His character's story is that as a kid, Garroth accidentally threw snow with a rock in it, blinding the eye he covers up.
