This is something I deal with on a regular basis, having to put on a "mask" to hide emotions so you don't look weak or vulnerable. its always good to tell people how you feel. If people don't understand why you feel the way you do then its best to just move on from them instead of trying to explain a 2nd time. There are some people who just can't understand other's feelings because of mental health and that's okay. Just tell them how your feeling at the moment and that you need some time to yourself. They might feel its their fault, if its not then you can assure them so and take the time you need to feel better. If it is them, you can tell them that it is them and be honest and then take the time you need to feel better. How you feel can affect not just you but the people you surround yourself with too. As someone who's friends left me because they refused to tell me I was the problem, I can 100% tell you that knowing they were upset but not knowing if it was because of me really messed me up emotionally. In the end, I wasn't 100% the problem, it was a problem split both ways. So its always good to be honest with people you surround yourself with, especially about your feelings.

What if the person you have to move on from is your mom- im trying to be lighthearted with everything but literally when i try to explain how im feeling my mom uses antidepressants as a threat to get me to stop and so i try to hide it but if i am not smiling my mom gets mad and my biggest problem is that when someone gets mad at me i feel worthless and like a burden even if i wasnt fully in the wrong so my mom always thinks either i am being dramatic or pouting or throwing a pity party and that is something you dont wanna hear and my stepdad just twists it to be about how hard HIS life is and how much worse HE has it and he says he is trying to show me that he understands but i feel like my problems are being undermined and disregarded when he does it but anyways sorry for this dramatic rant-
