Of all the high end equipment manufacturers, these guys seem to make some of the best. API gear to a Studer tape machine, oh yes.

I was lucky enough to work on one of those cream colored consoles and it made everything sound so good and big and warm. I love API!

Real cool Adam. Great to see the API facility. Nothing fancy just a personal commitment to making the best sounding and reliable equipment. To have the President of the company conduct you tour is a bonus. I also have API software and will be adding an API piece to my studio in the future.

I seen all those Nashville consoles. Ben Folds ran RCA Studio A for 12 years, Dave Cobb runs it now. You can Google him and pics of the console. RCA Studio A was built by Chet Atkins back in the 60s to make room for the overflow of artist because studio B was always being booked up. If you come to Nashville you can also go to Vintage King in Berryhill and see some really kewl API cobsoles.

My glasses were in the car. But yeah, I should have worn them. Many should have/would haves for this video (more closeups of Les' API board, for example) but ahh well. I had a great time touring API and I can't thank them enough for giving us a last minute tour. The plan was to just setup a tour months later but they saved me time and gas!

Haha, yes I was so excited to touch the buttons. This will probably be the only video like this for a long time but I am very much looking forward to doing a live broadcast from AES this fall.

Some of these places can be around your state. There is a D'addario's HQ (i think it's an HQ or it's a factory they make guitar strings) here in NY in long island. Saw that on Rob Chapman's channel (Guitar players would know him). If you ever have the chance to google up some big name audio places around your area you would be surprised what's around. As far as i know they don't bite lol and are friendly.

Niiiice :) Guys, I been in many big name factory and You know what is common in all? They have a same vibe. Always. They have a simple setups, old furnitures, not high tech buildings, no high tech air conditioner etc... And all using a lot of old instruments, gears to test product's. Just couple of nice old lady, some nice old masters, no computers. The modern factories soooo ugly, fast and running, full with stress, sterilized workers, managers, meetings, briefings, presentations, all the corporate shit. And this is what feel when You bought. API... Respect forever for the great sound what You guys given to the whole world! We just can say: Thank You! Even in the digital age.

You're welcome! The feelings are mutual. One day, I will own some API hardware. Looking at getting a 5500 maybe some time later this year. I have a business plan to start getting into recording/mixing musicians again this year that should have been done awhile ago.
