We are based in North Wales and manage around 150 colonies of bees, plus nucleus colonies.
We produce Great Taste Award winning honey and sell nucleus colonies to members of the public.
Our 6 frame overwintered nucleus colonies sell out very fast every year so early ordering is advisable.

We supply F1 Mated Buckfast and Jolanta Queens throughout the season. The UK Mated Jolanta Queens are reared using genetics used by the UK's biggest bee farmer - Murray McGregor - and are not available to general public, except through resellers like us! Check out our queens page on our website.

We are passionate about beekeeping and really enjoy helping beekeepers through our KZbin channel.
On our channel you can find information on making splits with swarm cells, making increase with queen cells, grafting larvae, foulbrood and disease inspection, honey extraction and machinery, top tips for beginners, products reviews, instructions and guidance plus much more.
#NO NONSENSE BEEKEEPING is a UK based beekeeping channel, designed to keep beekeeping as simple and enjoyable as possible. There are no overly complicated techniques or intricate pieces of equipment.
We cover all beekeeping topics ranging from queen rearing, disease recognition/control, honey extraction, swarm management/collection, how to make splits and much more!
My personal favourite aspects of beekeeping are selecting queens for rearing, rearing queens for mating, making up nucs for overwintering and collecting swarms.
We aim to bridge the gap between commercial and hobbyist beekeepers and cater for beekeepers of all experience levels.
No matter what your level of experience, please hit the subscribe button and join us on our journey!

I got someone to convert an old shop fridge with a glass door into a heating unit to heat buckets of honey. I hope to use it as my home incubater this year if it works out. Its working great at the minute though. I'd say I could fit about six 10 litre buckets at time in it, so quite a big fridge. I hope it works out for ya.

I'd have definitely taken that apart to see what they're using to heat it. I reckon it's a small one of those wires the apiarist uses in his honey cupboard.

Did the egg incubators not work for QC? Would be interested to hear your thoughts going down the specialists route.

It seems expensive, but a solution to a problem is difficult to value. Is there a temperature control built in?

Sorry Lawrence, you would have been a lot better off buying off an egg incubator as not only operates on the same principle, you can observe the progress AND able to adjust the temperature as well having the ability to add water to maintain correct humidity. The one you bought, not only cost you way too much, you cannot observe the development of the queen cels and doesn't seem to have temperature and humidity control either. It is basically repurposed tool box with very limited features. I built one few years ago using one of those fish market polystyrene boxes with a lid (which you featured in one of your videos) originally for hatching eggs but later on used it to hatch some queen cels as well and very successfully I might ad. All you need is a incandescent light bulb (with a fixing) that gives off some heat. Temperature controller that turns the light on and off when it reaches to a certain temperature that you set it to, small pc fan. Additional temperature and humidity sensor/meter and a little dish with some water in it. All for the cost £10 probably a lot less than that. The wiring is of course critical which I obtained from the internet and happy to share if anyone wants it. I've also cut out a observation window and placed a transparent plastic over it.

This is bought solely for the purpose of moving the cells in the truck from the apiaries back home. Here is my home incubator. www.heka-brutgeraete.de/en/Egg-Incubators/HEKA-Queen-Bee-Incubators/HEKA-Queen-Bee-Incubator-Queeny.html
