Thank you very much for letting us see this humane movie. Ordinary people are innocent, and the hateful ones are the politicians who started the war.

So true my friend. Soldiers did not want this war. Politicians are behind all wars.

Lots of ordinary people are full of hate. Watch the elections world wide. Pretty much the hate is just below 50%,but closing in fast. Don't be a hater ❤🎉

War is hell. Unfortunately, those that send our soldiers to war don't know that. Most of them never served.

John Malkovich surprises me each time I watch him; he plays the best villain. I usually don't get into Vera Farmiga, but in this movie, she is brilliant, she suits the part.

It was a good movie and sad too. It was also a good choice of actors who did portrait the real circumstances of what happened in the war..😢 Thank you for sharing it.

This is a wonderful movie. Though this is not a true story, it is very realistic, true to facts. The war caused a lot of suffering that non of the nations needed. Tolerance and love can slowly heal wounds.

War is a good business for all sides involved. The War industry is lucrative ,making people billionaires. For the billionaires it's not important that civilians and common soldiers perish.

The Fight Choreographer should have been hired! The hurly burly scenes are painful to pretend to believe in. The tussles are more like ballet. This tale should be way more brutal. Interesting true story. Thankyou.

I used to work with a great fellow who was a tanker in Italy in WW II. He was captured and ended up in a POW camp in Germany. There was a camp for Russian women beside them. One morning they saw a shape on the wire of the Russian camp. As it became brighter outside the shape was revealed to be the hide of a German shepherd dog. The starving Russian women had killed and eaten it raw. That memory was from a no BS guy. RIP Wallace Dicker.

Another "Love in a Time of War" story, although this was beautifully done with music & photography. Vera Farmiga as always a great actress, too much make-up and obvious wig in a POW camp? Malkovich totally NOT believable strutting around in a big brown coat - might have tried harder with a hat, some hair, a REAL Russian uniform, a disguise of sorts, otherwise we just get Malkovich being Malkovich, which is not a surprise to any of us... Thanks for posting APL Film & KZbin❣

"PLAYING FOR TIME.", with Vanessa Redgrave. And the movie with Clara Ten Bloom. These are the 1st 2 WWII movies I saw, and I was hooked into the subject for life. What I seek are storylines from many perspectives. I can appreciate the concept of the story. Russians v. Germans. But this movie is a doozy. There are no protagonists here. (Heros, Underdogs, you know.) This is a setup where everyone in the movie deserves to meet their maker. Yesterday. Showing Russians as nice and humane is not realistic. Whining Germans, who actually cares. This whole movie is sanitized. Keep searching for better WWII related storylines. Please.
