TO EVERYONE NEW TO ONE OK ROCK: Check out "the beginning". The music video and also most importantly the "live at yokohama stadium". You won't regret it. They have many more awesome songs but this song was the first song that I listened to. And it was amazing. Taka is amazing. The sound system here is shit. I am always sad for the band when this happens. Because the audience thinks that the band is bad. When in reality the singer (Taka) can not hear himself, because the sound system is bad. Still, I am fascinated how good Taka's voice was even if he couldn't hear himself. Like other comments already said here: this really shows how good of a vocalist Taka really is~

Fannix. - ONE OK ROCK Community Thank you for saying this Fannix. I happened to know audience were still amazed at this performance even though it was not OOR's best. One article even said OOR shined at the show. I just love this band so much. I want to protect them. 😢 They are really great band and they are rare kind.

I 100% agree with what you say. I understand your feeling. I want to protect them too! But good to know that articles say that OOR shined at the show. I am interested what they would write if Taka has a good sound system and sings Take What You Want~

Oh my God! Fannix! I'm glad you're really here defending the band. I have been a fan of OOR for years and I am proud of how far they have come; The sound was crap. But they did their best, Taka seemed nervous for the same reason. They are the best band I've ever heard live. I want people to listen to any other songs from them live so they can see the talent of the whole ONE OK ROCK.

I watched the APMAS live via twitch. When they sang "I was king" the people in the chat all wrote "I was gay". They had so much hatred an racism in this chat just because they are not and american band. I was really shocked about this happening. I agree with every single word of you Fannix!

I knew Taka was so nervous. The earphones problem, tone problem, he almost felt, and then the mic problem, his throat, his pronunciation, his ethnic, etc. So many things to worry. So many things to make mistakes. Btw, I know this boy has a golden voice. This beautiful tenor is very rare even in Asia. He has a natural talent for music. Yes, I can not deny the hard efforts he's been making for practice, too. Keep rocking, time will prove everything, One Ok Rock.

Total truth! I was excited to hear Lzzy Hale with New Years Day, but this sound system even dulled Lzzy's vocals and I know she has a set off pipes. I feel bad for multiple artists at this show. But that's show biz I guess. It's not like the bigger productions of the mainstream awards shows.

No wonder Taka sounds a bit off here, like his voice was straining too much. Gosh they should improve their sound system, otherwise it's so sub-standard. And being used to the smooth edits of OOR's concert videos, I thought this video was fancam

I saw the notification from someone that the song is called Hard To Love but I can't see the comment when I came to the page. When he first said the title at the concert I thought he said his dad was hard to love but once he went into the song I got. I was never a trouble maker as a kid or a teenager like drinking/drugs pretty much a straight arrow but he had to deal with my severe bouts of anxiety and depression. Both of my parents did. I thought my dad was a very patient person and his dad is so understanding about him picking a career path which is probably out of the norm for what the average Japanese parents would choose for their child. The job market in Japan is highly competitive so the push is more about job and financial security.
@022561100

Life tobelived Hi! Thank you for sharing your story about your dad. Truly the song Hard to Love is so beautiful and everyone can relate to it. BTW Taka's parents are very famous singers in Japan. Taka's father was very strict disciplinarian since he wanted the best for his son. Taka's dream is to become a singer like him but his father does not want him to knowing hard life of celebrity. But Taka feeling restrained, ran away from home. The family was broken and his parents divorced. Taka begin to sing with OOR as his new family and made his dream come true. He wanted his father to be proud of him so he strived on his own without help from parents' fame and no media exposure. Taka wanted to say sorry for his family and his dad so he wrote the song... I think you need to watch "Nobody's Home" live at Yokohama Arena 2012, the one with English subtitles. Taka wrote this too and he was crying while singing this song. His parents were at the concert so he couldn't contain his emotion... I hope you like it. 😊
@lifetobelived9102
@lifetobelived9102 7 жыл бұрын
Misaki that makes more sense now. At the beginning I got the feeling he had a difficult relationship with his dad but then the lyrics sounded different. I guess maybe he wanted his son to have an easier life. I am sure his parents did not break up because any troubles with him. Strong relationships endure whatever gets thrown at them at least with some counseling or other help they do. It is difficult sometimes fitting in to whatever societal norms there are for the certain area, country or cultural. I am very impressed when artists from Asia come out and show their pain and emotional issues when it may not be the norm especially with older generations. I think it helps a lot of their fans to know that they are not alone in their feelings.

if anyone thinks that they didn't do very well live in this one then believe me, its not their fault. as you can see taka's voice is naturally fucking amazing its just the bad sound system. toru, ryota, and tomo are just as amazing its just the circumstances of the stage and other stuff. these boys come alive in every performance they have ever done and i'm so, sooooo proud of these four talented out-of-this-world performers taking over the world. can't wait to see where the future takes them.

This is just about vote. More vote then you can win. OOR may have more fans but some of them didn't vote them because they didn't know about this award or they couldn't vote or maybe they're just lazy to vote. And don't forget about the other voters. Some of them participated on this vote just to vote their fav bands at other categories. But this award requires voters to vote all categories so they just choose randomly in categories they do not focus on.

Even though how shitty the APMAs sound system and other crap tech. difficulties special taka ear pieces. He couldn’t hear his self, but with Taka amazing Golden voice the music performance still sound good and the other OOR members did their best too. Although it’s their first time to perform in an awards event on America, as taka mention on the interview and also it is broadcast on TV, the band OOR still nailed this performance, I watched this video many times this past 3 days. Its seem taka is not that so nervous, maybe when he notice his earpieces got malfunction, he reacted in way his nervous, because as a mention it’s their first performance, he do not want to make mistake especially his ear pieces is malfunctioning. But with his years of experience and we all know how cool and super amazing this band in performing live performance. Taka and the band OOR able to manage this kind of dilemma. And I hope the audience have been more livelier, I Feel sad they don’t know what they missing or they missed to witness this moment on how awesome this band on live performance. Anyways I’m so proud of you guys, you did great job, for me you are the true winners, I love you guys and I will always support you till end of time.

R.I.P Chester Bennington. You got a long way to go, a long memory, you've found the answer that you been searching for. in the end, this all doesn't matter.

I don't know much about sound system but I know they could do way better than this with good one.. it's rather rare to see them like this so I sincerely ask everyone who got interested in them to watch their other live performances :) like many fans already writes 🤗✨I've never seen such a talented vocalist like Taka in my life. Seriously!
