Apo is a place with huge growth potential for the future! That major road undergoing dualization leading into the area is officially designated as the Outer Southern Expressway - it is supposed to run from the roundabout behind Aso Villa, past Apo, Kuje and terminate just after Gwagwalada on the Abuja-Lokoja highway. It will serve as a Southern bypass to the city the way Kubwa Road (Outer Northern Expressway) serves as a Northern bypass. Together with the stretch of Federal Highway between Gwagwalada and Zuba, these roads form a Great Ring Road encircling the Abuja Metropolitan Area.
