There’ll never be another one like them, Boboy, Jim, and the late Danny Javier, the APO, in my lifetime. They don’t have any song or performance that nobody liked. Every one loved all their songs! Bata, matanda, our generation , or the new generation. Not even the Beatles could have outdone the APO. Forever APO fan here! Rest in peace Mr. Daniel Javier. My sincerest condolences to the family and APO.

When I read that he died, my heart sank. Apo Hiking Society was one of the things that got me through a bad childhood and adolesence. I've always wanted to see them live all together -- it was one of my dreams. May Danny Javier rest in peace -- a legend.

APOks music, esp their Tagalog songs just really hit straight to the heart. Brings out feelings of nostalgia, just sounds very Pinoy, always authentic, rings true. That’s why it stands the test of time. I wish more songs like these are written and popular these days.

The real leader of APO is neither Jim or Buboy, actually it's Danny. Pidro, as he was called, was the oldest, and one who already had experience with folk bands in the 60s. This was during the time they were already hosting Sa Linggo nAPO Sila. Rest easy Pidro! I don't know though if their good friends Tito, Vic and Joey also appeared on RRM.
