I need people to understand, Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 are absolute fuckin gems and I love and adore them more than life itself. It was the first pc rpg game series I played as a kid since I was literally born right near to when the first game released, and the second came out when I was around 5. It was such an autism focus of mine that I could recite almost all the dialogue of the main quest in the first game. While I don't remember much of the dialogue of the second game, I do like the interactions each character had with each other especially Lothar and Taar. There's a great mod for Dungeon Siege 2 called the legendary mod which puts the entire first game and it's dlc as playable maps IN the Dungeon Siege 2 engine with some extra secrets here and there. While it's not the exact same, it's clearly a product of intense love and appreciation of the series and I enjoy it greatly. Edit: Also Jack's take on the AI of Dungeon Siege 1 shows that he didn't look at the companion settings in the bottom right corner kekL

Your comment about scientists like Einstein reminds me of something a reviewer said once about music that I often think about whenever there's cancel culture drama over shit like Hogwarts Legacy. Something you'll come to realize if you start researching the lives of pretty much anyone who's done or created anything noteworthy is that most of them are horrible, horrible people. And if you ever want to enjoy...pretty much anything ever again you really have to either get over it or learn to seperate creation from creator. Examples I tend to give out of this include people like Ghandi, who, if you actually do your research, you'll discover was very racist towards black people, homophobic and may or may not have been a pedophile. Under todays cancel culture anything he ever said or did would be thrown in the rubbish bin of history and anyone supporting him would be labeled as a monster.

I need you to understand, if you thought the AI was bad in Dungeon Siege 1 well I'm sorry not sorry to say thats a skill issue. Someone clearly didn't see the party formation + behaviour tab in the bottom right. For a game from 2000/2001 it was pretty thorough and highly configurable. I of course say this with incredible love and appreciation knowing that other people know of Dungeon Siege and this video from Sseth made my soul sing with joy.
