I am not a moon hoaxer by any means but listen starting at 7:16 Neil Armstrong tells mission control that they've landed and mission control responds immediately. What happened to the required 3 second delay for the communication signals to make the round trip from moon to earth and back? Edit: I thought about it and I have my answer. Notice that the delay always happens after mission control says something, not after the astronauts have spoken. This is because the transmission is recorded at mission control. So as soon as they receive the transmission they respond and we hear it immediately. But they have to wait at least three seconds for the response from themoon, and we can detect this lag time also.

if you listen closely, Armstrong is making a transmission, during which he pauses, then completes his thought. The controller (Duke in this case) begins to respond to the first 1/2 of the transmission, then pauses to hear the 2nd half of the Armstrong trans, then completes his confirmation. It is not a lack of delay, this is what happens in nearly all delay transmit situations, there is difficulty in determining when a transmission has completed. Quite often on VOX when you pause in that way the transmission is dropped and then restarted when you speak again, they were not using PTT.

Amazing in 2021 there is a delay on live tv talking across the Atlantic or on video. In 1969 it was a perfect signal with slight delay. I can't even pick up fm radio in my hifi from 7 miles.
@Agarwaen
@Agarwaen 3 жыл бұрын
perfect? not at all. however as everything was analogue you don't get the usual slight delays that digital transfers get. as for your lack of a radio signal.. get a proper antenna?

There is no delay in the transmission between houston and the "moon." It takes 2.5 seconds for electromagnetic transmission to travel between the earth and moon. There is no delay in the audio when "astronauts" are speaking with mission control.
@Joshua-su4yj
@Joshua-su4yj Жыл бұрын
Well, think about it, its recorded from Houstons perspective, they are getting the messages and responding, thus there isn't a delay for Huston but it does indeed take time to reach the astronauts, hense why the astronauts responses are delayed and not Hustons... its not recorded in the middle of them, its recorded from Huston and they are going to respond as soon as they hear the message arent they which from there perspective isn't delayed but to the astronauts, yes it infact would be.
@gives_bad_advice
@gives_bad_advice Жыл бұрын
there is a delay. listen again. it always takes the Eagle and few seconds to respond. obviously there's not going to be a delay in Houston's responses because it's being recorded in Huston. or should i say "Houston"?
@jeffr3773
@jeffr3773 Жыл бұрын
@@gives_bad_advice Yeah I get that, even with it recorded at the command center it should still take 2.5 seconds to reach apollo, time for them to listen and comprehend, and 2.5 seconds for it to return to houston to be recorded. That just doesn't happen, I'm sorry. I've listened to 30 or more of these there is almost never any significant delay. The only explanation would be that the recordings are edited and snipped together to remove the delays, or.. it didn't happen. Even hardcore defenders of apollo concede this point and take the stance of the edit/snips, there is no question that in all the recordings there is not enough delay
@msidc1238
@msidc1238 Жыл бұрын
@@jeffr3773 Uh no. 1.25 seconds is the amount of time for the radio signals to reach the Moon, before another 1.25 seconds for the signal to reach Earth equalling a minimum 2.5 second delay.

i dont think you really understand how much it takes to get the rocket on the launch pad, fuel it, make sure nothing is wrong with it, pre flight checks, take off, orbit, dock the landing craft, catapult over to the moon, disconnect the landing craft, land on the moon, drive around, research, get back into the craft, take off, shoot back over to earth, crash into the ocean, have a aircraft carrier out in the ocean get a helicopter to come scoop you up, and bring you back home. it takes lots of money. israel has recently launched a space craft over but its engine failed and crashed.
