On 11 April 1970, the Lovell family watched their husband and father, Jim Lovell, blast off on Nasa's ill-fated third mission to land on the Moon.

This little video clip may be an "eye opener" for many in this day (year = 2022). But there are so MANY more events and moments like this that are not revealed to our world today. I can tell you that as a young lad in the 5th grade (at time of the earthly descent of the Apollo 13 astronauts), we were asked by our teachers (in a catholic school in Minnesota) if we (5th graders) would be willing to PRAY for them (And their families). And (w/o exception) every 5th grader was willing to be a part of that. And we all knew (even back then) that we were not alone in that. There were people ALL OVER THIS WORLD .. praying to our Almighty God for mercy and grace and for "safe passage" for the App 13 astronauts (back to earth). This all started and went on for days prior (and then at their descent back to earth). While its clear that NASA's engineers and many other support people worked day and night to save that crew, ... it is still clear to those who prayed in those days that God was merciful, and heard the prayers of so MANY from around this world. And in the end, He blessed NASA's work and allowed them back home (splashing down in the South Pacific). In my mind there is not question that God Almighty answered many prayers and granted a "YES" to them on that day.

True, I also believe that god gave them his blessing. Because there were SO many problems and odds against them, yet they still accomplished the "impossible" goal, completely unharmed.

@@princessozmaofoz5242 - Agree with you ... (to a point). Their goal was landing on the Moon and fulfilling the mission script prescribed in all of that. But "mishaps" circumvented all of that. And that is where I believe your point (about "odds against them") comes into play. An act of "grace" combined w/ "human hard work" brought them safely home after that point.

Susan Lovell talking about being in school: "I cried. Somebody came to pick me up that day." We need documentation of how this happened. Angels don't descend unless sent. Who showed up, and why? This is a separate mission of its own.
