@@theroachlife At least you had the balls to go out and see for yourself in very ordinary conditions You will be rewarded for your efforts sooner then you think if you keep at it Cheers 🍻

Its only a matter of time before you get another one in the boat. It will all turn around as hard work always pays off in the end.

Good on ya mate. I love watching your vids, even if the fishing is a bit light on at the moment. You got a great mate there with Smiddy, felt bad for him spewing. Loved the pride rainbow comment and the fact you might indeed catch something that night !!! Just on the weather front, I know you got a great boat to handle most conditions, but make sure you come home to the family. Looking forward to the next instalment

Thanks heaps for the kind words mate, it is greatly appreciated. I am the luckiest bloke around to have a best mate who is willing to push himself through. Yes, completely agree on the weather front. The ocean is a cruel mistress and has killed far better captains than me. Thank you, should get out again in the next couple of weeks we think.

Brave men! Well done and thank you for sharing your journey. From 11.18 you discuss saltwater related corrosion. Do you use a deck wash pump system when out at sea using saltwater to clean your deck of fish blood, etc? It this a bad thing to use by cleaning your cockpit out with saltwater? How do you apply ‘Saltaway’ inside the cockpit area to wash away all the salt after the journey? Cameron

Hey mate, Thank you. In terms of the corrosion, I am referring to the saltwater that came up through the windsreeen and into the cockpit. It got into everything like our containers, tackle, tools etc that were stored. I just get hot water and mix in some salt away then use a cloth to wipe everything down that got wet. Has worked well for us. With the deck wash, yes we use a salt water one. No issues on the flooring and gunnels etc. just usually give the boat a hose off with fresh water at the end of the day.

@@theroachlife hi mate. many thanks for your response. When you wash the cockpit out at home with fresh water, do you use a hose and have it drain out through the bung holes?

@@Camh1968 yep we sure do. That’s why I love the crushers, easiest boat to clean
