4-4. A case full of great mysteries and themes. And a finale you will hear conflicting reports on for the rest of your LIFE. I am one of the positive ones. Surprise surprise. It’s my 8th favorite case in the franchise and just among the cases I play more than any other. For…reasons. One of my favorite easy to miss conversations in this case is with Phoenix in the anything agency. If you examine the bookshelf, he will imply he finally read Mia’s law books. And the ultimate irony after getting disbarred. It’s just one of those conversations that stick out to you like finding out Franziska delivered the card he got in 2-4 to Gumshoe, but it’s still in his pocket so she has to try and stop him from throwing out the coat. GREAT moment and they tuck it away. And this case is RICH with details. You do have to look for them and I don’t blame people when they miss them.

Happy late birthday, Zak. I hope it was a great day. Also, this is one of my favorite cases. I hope you like it. And Lord Daddy is a title that fits Phoenix perfectly. Way better than being a defense lawyer. I just love that line.

By the end of this chapter Prij is going have an article on how the Mason System in this case would've never been made in this way, jury system is a think but this system have so many problems when it came to "who" worked on, "why" this got approved, and "how" the evidence gather in this is SUPER questionable in this case.
@pattersong66373 ай бұрын
The only way the MASON System makes sense is if there's literal time travel. Apollo possesses Phoenix from 7 years ago and obtains items into his inventory to use in the present. It's literal time travel.

While I wouldn't say this case is one of my favorites, however I like the atmosphere of it. It felt eerie when I first played it and there's a soundtrack that will come up later during investigations that gives this melancholic and mysterious feeling. BUT one thing I absolutely love about this case is the culprit and their breakdown.

18:00 I don't know if you would look it up later, but it's a pretty interesting thing. Japan had jury system in the beginning of 20th century, but jury trials were suspended during WW2, and never actually reinstated; all trials in Japan are bench trials, because the purpose of the court, essentially, is to determine the actual truth of the situation, not explicitly guilt or innocence. Still, in 2009, to improve court's reputation in the populace, the new system was introduced. It's not jury system, where the jurors are separate from judge and have separate function; it's more like members of community acting like junior judges of the court under the presiding of career or, as it's called, professional judges. It still works more like a bench trial, but with more judges now; some of them randomly chosen. As this people are very specifically _no jurors_, they're called "lay judges", and Japanese Ministry of Justice is very clear that this system is not to be considered jury. One of the funny quirks of the new system is, by the way, that, to prevent people to be in this far too long, trials were pretty much streamlined and expedited. Which is considered to be a problem.

46:44 One of the rare moments, where I am behind an instruction from the higher-ups. For me the AA-Series is defined by its characters, especially the main cast, and not its story or solved misteries. Making those characters synominous with the series itself. A Sequel to the AA-Trilogy needs those in it even if the creator itself sees their story as finished up and closed. And be it as small role side characters, who appear once briefly. Otherwise it will feel different and incomplete, that is my opinion. It is even worse to leave them out when you add in a timeskip, because then the fans REALLY want to see the old characters again!! To see how much and how they have changed! Q.q
@Y-E-R-I8 ай бұрын

The Jurist System... yeah. I wish this game up again in the future AA games (the current timeline), even though it never happened. At the same time, the 5th game is my favorite... sooo... yeah. I feel like the Jurist System could be used for "appeal cases", so that the regular system isn't totally replaced. But if someone is found guilty and they want to appeal their verdict, then they use the Jurist System.

Happy (now belated) birthday, Zak! Thank you for the knowledge, Dr. Prij! I forgot just how absurd the opening to this case is. "Hey Apollo, you're doing a murder trial tomorrow, but don't worry I have everything all planned out," Phoenix says, more or less completely ignoring Trucy after giving her a "Recycle-your-plastics day" present. Ah, I just recalled one of the big twists in this case. Lord Daddy. That is all. Here is a Latin fan, sorry for my English in advance. It is very curious that the way to understand the evolution of the mechanics and ideas of the saga is in this order AA Apollo -> PL vs AA -> The Great AA and yet those of Save Data have done it in this order The Great AA -> AA Apollo -> PL vs AA That's why you sometimes wondered why there were some ideas in The Great AA and it was because you hadn't played the two games that were prequels to it (Apollo and Layton vs AA). It is very curious how in the main franchise, Takumi left several ideas in the air to be developed in future installments (like the juries) and they did not do so, in fact AA Dual Destinies and AA Spirit of Justice rewrite and ignore several things and do not They continue with the ideas that Takumi had left in this game It was not until he developed PL vs AA that he developed the multiple witness mechanic and this was divided into two in The Great AA resulting in a simpler multiple witness system because several of its functions were transferred to the jury system which was an idea that in the end it was developed into a spin-off because the main saga did not do so So basically it is very curious how this title is called Apollo Justice Trilogy, but really what continued the legacy of Apollo were The Great AA and at the same time this is a sequel to Pl vs AA
