For anyone who is concerned about braking - I have the '23 Apollo Phantom & its regen braking (RBS) is superb. I only use the other brakes to check if they work. Emergency braking is great on the RBS, you just have to press the brake thumb-lever twice to let energy build up. In fact, with RBS, I'm able to stop WAY later than any disc brakes I've used before. It doesn't lock up the wheels either. I find this extremely liberating & unlike the Ghost that came before it, you're not buying brake pads all the time - though they do include 2 brake pads in the kit when you buy it. I'm considering the Pro for the spring. Its IP66 rating (dust/water resistance) is extremely impressive, not to mention the incredible range & superb battery quality. I don't work for Apollo, but I am biased. Any Canadian company that designs something like this, I'll be brand loyal to a fault. Like this video states, it seems like they're on their way up & are improving every day. I found them to be very helpful & fair with prices, support, etc.

What helmet and gear do you have?
@mcraven74711 ай бұрын
Bro. You should do a video on suggested gear for the Apollo Pro. I'm still on the fence, but I would like to know what helmet, gloves, etc, you suggest for a scooter of this performance.

Those are 5.11 gloves. But really anything for Motorcylces would be a good choice. I use dainese gloves, the lightest options they have so you can feel all of the controls.

"Bedding in the breaks" is the term you are looking for. It's a transfer of material from the break pad onto the breaking surface that actually makes it grip better. Good tips tho.

As I recall, back in the day you adjusted "self adjusting drum brakes" by reversing and stopping a few times... not really practical on a scooter though. lol.

Honestly for 3k+ i rather buy a Sergway GT2 over this
@gloomy54876 ай бұрын
Segway is much bigger and heavier with much less water resistance.
