That you. I'd a watchman fitted years ago in a previous house by a plumber and haven't a monitor on my current tank. I've been wanting to get this done for years but seamed so fluttery. New design and a clear instructional video, I've an Apollo now ordered. 🙂

I was told by the company to reset the level indicator unplugged, by swiping the dots with the sensor then rematch the two. It worked again the next morning. I had to do this after replacing the battery.

My oil tank is 1270 mm in height, but your installation guide only gives me options for 1250 mm & 1300 mm. In order to pair my tank, what measurement should I go for?

The sensor reading is only an approximation of the oil level in the tank, so choose 1250mm as the nearest measurement for your tank. You won't notice any discrepancies - it will work perfectly well.

I don’t know the size of my tank as it’s below ground. Then monitor shows 3 bars but the tank is empty. How do I calibrate or reset it?

Just had our tank topped up and now the monitor indoors has the red light on and every so often it beeps 3 or 4 times. Not sure what the problem is.

What happens with the swarf that falls inside the tank of the hole has to be drilled? I wouldn't want it floating about in the heating oil.

I wouldn't worry about it. You should have a filter installed in-line anyway..

I paired the 2 devices but the moment I take the transmitter rocket outside to the tank they stop communicating

Don’t even tell you what type of battery to buy so you can have it ready for when and if anyone can ever be bothered to show you how to replace one. When I had my new tank out in, it took only 2 years before the receiver stopped receiving. And I’ve asked thousands of people and no one knows what to do. Also, what on earth is a star shaped screwdriver- is this in English?

Battery is a std Lithium 2032 3V cell. If the receiver stopped receiving data, it's a fair chance it's down to the sensor battery failing. If changing the battery and going through the pairing setup again doesn't fix your problem, then unfortunately it's time for a new one. In my limited experience (I've only ever had one unit, that I still use) they're pretty reliable. Mine was new old stock, probably ten years old before I came across it, and with a couple of battery changes it's still working another 8 odd years later...

Impossible to change a battery. No instructions anywhere! Have been searching for over 5 years to find a way to put in new battery. No oil man knows. Nobody knows! Utterly useless.

Two self tapping screws on bottom of the rocket reciver

Remove "rocket" from tank, turn it upside down and remove two stainless steel cross-head recessed screws. Slide cover off, replace battery and reverse disassembly procedure. All in all a ten minute job.
