That touching is Apollo testing what the material is made of so he can answer correctly. He was taught that way in earlier videos. Glass, metal, plastic.

I love the way he imitates every single training sound, including his own beak hitting the glass! what an incredibly smart bird! also, I'm guessing that Apollo's ideal bathroom would have a metal toilet AND a glass toilet. double the pleasure, double the fun. 😆his comedic timing is S-tier. Apollo is brilliant. He remembers everything. He also uses words he knows to make conversation. HE needs to go to the bathroom and says so then says I gotta go there. He wants a snack and the only way to get one is to do 4 things, so he says the number 4 and proceeds to identify 4 things of his choice. Then calls Tori. He is a talking thinking calculating bird who can also count and tell his Caique sisters to stop noise. Wonder how a conversation with Gizmo would go and Cosmo too.

I have not watched/ listened to him in some time, but he’s getting so much better. It’s starting to sound so much like a human. I can’t describe it better than that, but some parts it’s not just the right sounds but the right intonation/ pitch as well, it’s getting less bird imitation and more human talking.
