Apollyon's Thoughts: Astrea and Holden

(Third time uploading this...constant audio issues...let's hope this works)
Ever since making my Apollyon videos, people think that I'm some expert on her psychology and ideology. I never claimed to be, but I am flattered. Because of this though, people want to ask me questions that start with "What would Apollyon think about..." and then go from there. I usually try to answer...but ever since playing with this AI voice changer, I thought 'why not let Apollyon say it herself?' So this is Apollyon giving her thoughts on Astrea and Holden Cross.
If this goes over well, I might do more stuff like this.
If not? Well it was experimental. No great loss.

The trouble with Ubisoft is that they don't understand the philosophy of the character they've created. Either that or Horkos' shortcomings are intentional and they're cleverer than I give them credit for.

It's probably the second, Astrea in lore is already considered a shadow of Apollyon and her ideals. Think of it how Apollyon is seen as Darth Vader, and Astrea is Kylo Ren. They're both a threat, but you're afraid to hear one name but actually willing to fight the other name.

I’m sure it’s the latter. Astrea is meant to be a pale imitation of Apollyon, nothing more. Apollyon is one of my favorite video game villains.

This video aggravates me even more. Cause aIl it does is remind me of how low the lore has fallen. I want to experience that nuanced war that Apollyon dreamed of, not the fairy tale we’re experiencing now. Astrea is a cartoon villain driven by self-righteousness. Gryphon is an effete weakling whose inaction has turned Heathmoor into a tyrant's playground. I’m sick of it all, and I wouldn't object to seeing them gone. But in Apollyon's reflection, I find a potential moment of brilliance. As she mentions, Horkos's and Chimera's flaws will be their undoing, but what if that was the plan? Astrea foments such chaos in Heathmoor with the Draconite plague that Chimera is hastily formed to stop her. The tension between the factions is still raging hot, and Gryphon and Daubeny are barely holding them together. She _allows_ Chimera to defeat her in a climactic battle, but she goes a step further than Apollyon and sends her agents across Heathmoor, in secret, to aggravate the factions even further, and prevent Chimera's peacekeepers from cooling the animosity between them. With the factions fighting each other off screen, the alliance falls apart and Gryphon is forced once again into exile. There are still small alliances between different factions that can exist, but they are far too small to continue Chimera's quest for peace.

This is without a doubt the most wished for video I wanted from you. A deep dive into how Apollyon’s ideals and legacy clash against Astrea’s and Gryphon’s. You could also use this kind of AI voicing to depict how Astrea and Holden feel about the world as a whole, or how they feel about the Wu Lin and Outlander’s impact on the ongoing war. The way you wrote Apollyon here makes it almost feel like cut dialogue, it’s that good! Cheers for an awesome video Raven!

1:30 Astrea does relize this actually. In year 5, it's also said that for the strong to stay strong, there must always be a struggle. Which is why every time there's a great Calamity the order of horkos is always seen praising it and themselves when they survive it. Plus with how much horkos likes starting war growing lazy would be impossible lol

I mean...you say that... and yet at the same time you yourself are the one who admitted in discord that they: "want to destroy the lie that is peace and create a new order." And as I proved: that's a major contradiction. And in another comment on a different video you also said that their goal is to instill a society where the strong rule and the weak serve them...not necessarily just to continue constant war. You said you had to "remove Apollyon" from their way of thinking. ...So...again I guess if you say so...

​@RavenKnightYT I made clear distinctions. In Discord, I was talking about Astrea herself. In your maddox video, I was referring to the order of horkos entirely. Not everything the order of horkos does is what Astrea wants necessarily theres always the rougue elementof free will present in warriors. Just like how everything the Blackstone Legion does is not what Apollyon wanted. The Blackstone Legion wanted to eliminate the vikings, Apollyon wanted to Awaken the vikings. Which led to Apollyons down fall. She pissed off the wolves with her methods and it sparked betrayal and a temporary alliance against her. Which played in her favor because she didn't plan to live anyway. I didn't say remove Apollyon I said remove Apollyon as a character as in what she would do. Because not even her own Blackstones behaved like her. And yet she still viewed them as wolves, they were still acting like she wanted. Which is why I say Apollyons legacy isn't to be her. It's to fight.

Even if I don't want to see her return, it would be a bit of a plot twist if Apollyon returned... (not that I believe Ubisoft would write a good story about it. It would become a "Somehow Apollyon is back" Story).

Sure the voice might be a little too fast and perhaps high pitched but it's already close enough that it makes me love the video. I remember a while back on the main subreddit someone had posted a video similar to this with an AI Apollyon voice although I don't remember what it said, too bad the original poster never did anything more with it. So really I can only wish that you'll do more!

The story mode does have some issues, but I think it makes up for it by giving us a great villainess to remember . If only ubisoft made astrea and horkus as good

The AI voice doesn't _quite_ capture Catherine Kidd's (and by extension, Apollyon's) charisma, but it (and the dialogue Raven wrote for this video) is pretty spot on.

Might want to use this to replace the button clicks, or use some sort of editing to obscure or quieten the sound of each line being played. Otherwise, it sounds quite well done, bravo!
