I like the idea that the soul bond stays but the shared pain goes away, since that was a pure aspect of the games. Possibly they get a trait of their soulbond? Like Scar getting wings (or maybe Scar getting a scar in the shape of wings?) or Grian getting a bunch of scars or _slightly_ taller, or heterochromia with one green eye?

Personally I like to think (and what was done in the video) that the soulbond stays but is significantly weaker and less noticeable! That's why the shared pain goes away. The further away you are from your soulmate, the more the bond fades, and vice versa!

For some reason, this made me think of a fanfic I read. It was were the bond didn’t fade, but they still went back to their severs, so they could still feel everything their soulmate feels, and dies with them, and scar dies instantaneous, but grian’s with mumbo and dies, for ‘no reason’ in mumbo’s eyes.
