Also this scene/song combined with Eddie (really) dying was like a 2-hit gut punch. So well-done and acted.... RIP the legend Eddie.

It was great in Stranger Things. But in the Sopranos, that episode with Tony's dreams, it resembled a great sense of loneliness and perplexity, and is still to this day one of the best uses of a song in a show or film.

This is in my mind the best standing out episodes there is, in the sense that it is completly seperate from the main plot and yet so interconnected with the inner state of the protagonist. It's crazy that I came here after watching S06EP02 of The Sopranos, but people say that the song was on Stranger Things as well... and I've watched Strange Things before i ever did Sopranos "Ashamed to Say" and I can't seem to recall it ever playing there. I guess that's how much of an impact of a show was Sopranos compared to any other series...
