Very polite of you to say " the stock sounds are disheartening ". Ouch! Those sounds were almost painful to hear. It definitely needed the life-saving surgery you gave it. Great result as usual; it's like the before and after keyboards come from different galaxies.

Oof the stock sound really wasn't good. Unlubed brown switches and thin ABS caps pretty much explains it I think. No bottom case sound deadening either. Your modded version is sooo much better.

Really interesting to see that they decided to re-label a three year old budget board (TM680 / Gamakay LK67), given how much the landscape has changed. Just screams stock clearance.

Oh damn, I didn't recognize the LK67 until now! Thank you for pointing it out! :D Yes, many keyboards are coming from the same manufacturer with different stickers and that's all. This is a keyboard that couldn't keep up with the recent market changes, indeed.

Another great video! Interesting little budget keyboard. However not even minor pre-lubing of the switches and stabs in 2024 is disappointing. The mods sounded great in the end. If you’re just getting into KB’s and are willing to do a little modding yourself, it’s a neat little board. Not my taste but I can definitely see the value.

Thank you! :) Also, I agree - with the recent price drop, it's become a better option! I really appreciate interesting case design with the RGBs, so I really hope they can whip up some improvements for the stock quality in the future! :)

maybe they are targeting "okayish keyboard that definitely needs mods" for people who like to mod xD. i guess if a keyboard comes too perfect out of the box, it could bore some of the enthusiasts. copium take.

Haha, this must be a reason! Nevertheless, they succeeded! I had to think a rather excessive time to find applicable, yet affordable mods (just not to ruin its price point). :D
