Never mind that when Jesus was born the region was known as Judea and it was some 130 years later Hadrian renamed the region Syria Palaestina as part of the suppression of the Bar Kokhba revolt, and never mind that Mary his mother was of the tribe of Judah and a descendant of king David (Luke 3:31), all that is all just irrelevant historical data. Ignorance is fixable, but stupid, stupid goes bone deep.

@@gabrielethier2046Philistia, not the Latinized term Palestina. That's because horstly before the time of Herodotus the Philistines still inhabited the coastline (they were whiped out shortly after the Babylonian conquest and seem to have been extinct during the time of Herodotus, so he was talking about a historic name for the region). He called the entire Levant Syria by the way, and the southern part of the coastline Philistine Syria.

The word "Jew" was not invented or first used until the early 1500s. Jesus of Nazareth King of the Israelites [not Israelis] or Jesus of Nazareth King of the Judeans are two possibilities. In any event, He is the well-prophesized Messiah of the Old Testament -- started a new religion based on the New Testament promising Eternal Life in Heaven.

@@kadda1212 Sounds credible that especially in the Nazi era they argued away the Jewish origin of Christianity. But to my knowlege it was popular to delve a little bit into "Germanic" paganism as well as shunning Christianity as "too soft" or "Jewish" ... while (if I'm not mistaken?!) the regime didn't make an attempt to abolish it at least as long as the Nazi were in power and they tolerated the catholic church after its representatives agreed to align themselves with the regime while the protestant church had members a bit more rebellious and partially persecuted and Yehova's Witnesses were openly persecuted (easy target as scapegoats as a seclusive minority? probably even more rebellious? also the name being very on-the-nose Jewish?)

However during the millenia of Muslim caliphates people from different corners of the caliphate conquered the land Islamized and Arabized it. The ones that did not delute were the ones paying Jizya while refusing to convert. Likewise Jews exiled by the Romans as slaves to Europe held on to their traditions despite of hard times are the original inhabitants of that land. Furthermore the current state of Israel is being challenged by war again and again and have fought for it. The modern day Israelites are the citizens of Israel Jews from all parts of the world coming back home. When Israel took the Egyptian Jews in, they included the Karaites. No one said they aren't Jews.

First of all no one said that the said that anyone were Jews during the exile in Egypt because the term "Jews" wasn't around them. They were Israelites or Hebrews. ITS SO JEWISH! the apostles are running after jesus asking him- when will we prepare the passover? And nobody in the class knew what this meant- except me. ITS A SACRIFICE- mentioned in the Bible before the jews left Egypt and told to.continue offering in jerusalem for generations (as long as the temple stood). Then jesus goes and does a SEDER- who in the class recognised what was going on there? only ME- THE JEW. Now jews don't care that jesus was a jew, but what on earth is this whole thing about ??????

The claim that Jesus was not Jewish is both historically and theologically baseless, and such a position not only contradicts the New Testament but undermines the entire foundation of Christian theology. The New Testament explicitly identifies Jesus as Jewish. Matthew 1:1-17 opens with Jesus’ genealogy, tracing his lineage to Abraham and King David, fulfilling Jewish messianic expectations. Luke 2:21 documents his circumcision on the eighth day, a Jewish tradition commanded in Genesis 17:10-12. Additionally, Jesus’ ministry revolved around Jewish teachings, synagogues, and festivals. He repeatedly stated that he came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 5:17), which would be impossible if he were not Jewish. Denying Jesus’ Jewishness requires rejecting the plain text of the New Testament. Stripping Jesus of his Jewish identity is a theological disaster for Christianity because his claim as the Messiah is inseparable from Jewish prophecy. The concept of the Messiah comes from Jewish scripture, specifically passages like Isaiah 53, Micah 5:2, and Zechariah 9:9, all of which Christians believe Jesus fulfilled. If Jesus were not Jewish, he would not qualify as the Jewish Messiah, and the entire framework of his ministry, crucifixion, and resurrection would collapse. His title “King of the Jews” (Matthew 27:37), mockingly placed above him during the crucifixion, directly ties his identity to Jewish kingship. Denying this identity renders his role as the fulfillment of Jewish prophecy and the bridge between the Old and New Covenants meaningless. The motive behind denying Jesus’ Jewishness often stems from antisemitic attempts to distance Christianity from its Jewish roots. Such revisionism is not only historically inaccurate but deeply harmful, as it fosters division and distorts biblical truth. Christianity is built upon the Jewish faith-Jesus himself worshiped at the Temple, taught from the Torah, and observed Jewish holidays. To claim otherwise is to reject the foundational truths of Christianity itself. By erasing Jesus’ Jewishness, antisemites discredit both his messianic legitimacy and the shared heritage of Jews and Christians, revealing their arguments as rooted in bigotry rather than truth. Such falsehoods must be confronted with facts, as they betray the integrity of scripture and the very faith they claim to defend. Thankfully we have AP & DW to straighten them out.

You are completely ignoring why Zionists need Jesus to be a Jew. They do that to get Christians to support people that call themselves Jews today, and the modern state of Israel. There are several definitions of Jew that makes Jesus a Jew, some can even be applied within IPs world view, others can not, but the question is does someone like Ben Shapiro also qualify as a Jew within that same definition? And the answer to that is no. He can not show his lineage, and he does not follow the same religion. AP recently tried to BS the audience on Judaism in a stream with Wood and Anthony Rogers, by trying to tell us that it's the normal continuation of the Old Testament, but Rogers shut him down hard. The rejection of Jesus Christ as The Messiah is foundational to modern Judaism In the video they were discussing Tovia Singer even went so far as to claim that the modern Jewish identity is dependent on the rejection of Jesus Christ as The Messiah.

Her argument makes absolutely no sense. She asks you to define a Jew, then says you can’t because even Jews can’t define what a Jew is, then says that Jesus doesn’t match the *modern* definition of something which she herself has said you can’t define!?!? Does he then fit with a past definition? What definition is she going by and how does she justify that definition above any other when she says there is no definition? More importantly, when these people can’t even define what a woman is then why am I even surprised?

Shakespeare recognised palestine. Christians of Britain did. So what happened to all the British history after the zion.ists took over in the late 1800s. JESUS SPOKE ARAMAIC. MOTHER TONGUE. I am 64 years old. I am an American who converted to Judaism when I was 16. I live in Israel and I am a certified orthodox rabbi. A Jew is a person who is observant of Talmudic law or his ancestors were within the past century. This is not absolutely precise however it is the best brief definition. Unlike Islam and Christianity, Judaism discourages converts and therefore the vast majority of Jews are descendants of Jews. Therefore the misunderstanding has arisen that Jews are a nationality or a race. Even a DNA test can only tell you if some of your ancestors were probably Jewish however there is no medical way of determining who is a Jew. Palestinians were residents of the Palestine Mandate which existed between 1922 and 1948. Few are still alive today. Even regarding Arabs who are anti-Zionist, it is difficult to understand why they would want to restore the name and borders of the Mandate which were a Western colonial invention. Previously, the Palestine Mandate, Lebanon and Syria were all part of one Ottoman province called Syria with its capital in Damascus.

I myself believe Christians don't have a real reason to convert to Judaism because essentially we already are Jews in a sense, we believe the Torah, we follow Jewish prophets and recognize their teaching and follow Jesus who was definitely a Jew, the only real difference is we believe Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God, while Jews don't believe he was the Messiah and the Son of God, Christians shouldn't have anything against Jews and are actually forbidden to do so

@@GreenCanvasInteriorscape First of all: Jesus fulfilled the law. Just not all rabbinic laws. As rabbis often contradict each other about the interpretation of the law, that does not matter. In contrary, it is being exspected from the Messiah to bring the perfect interpretation of the law. As well as the solution to the problem of sin. Besides that, there are different exspectations on the messiah. The messiah as the son of Joseph is said to suffer and to bring the solution to the problem of sin. The messiah as the son of David is to restore the kingdom of David and the temple and to bring eternal peace. How to bring all of these together in one, is being heavily discussed among rabbis. The christian solution is: The messiah came first as son of Josef to suffer and solve the problem of sin and to bring the perfect understanding of the law. To bring eternal peace with God. But the same person will return as the Son of David, as eternal King respected by everybody, bringing with him a restored heavenly Jerusalem that in itself is a temple, and there will be peace within the creation, no suffering, no war, no death.

As an Estonian I approve AP taking up the Estonian Bible and reading it for the whole world to see. Nice

1:09 - David Wood is right. You can totally expose false info from an apologist, and the followers don't care. Just look at what happened to IP/Mythvision/Paulogia/Rationality Rules...

The Apostles called Jesus the son of David a few times in the Bible. David was descended from Jacob/Israel's son Judah. To top it all off he fought a Philistine, Goliath. This is all common knowledge, I think.

I'm listening to these guys describe nonsense and reading the nonsense you just wrote it's just delicious to savor your ignorance with a side of dumbassery Jesus never did the following: •Ezekiel 37:21. Bring the Jewish people back to Israel •Ezekiel 37:22 one nation with a king •Ezekiel 37:24 Jewish people will all do the teachings of G-d. •Isaiah 11:9-10 world wide knowledge of G-d. •Ezekiel 37 & 47 building of the third Temple which will stand forever. •Isaiah 2:4 No More war •Deuteronomy 17:8-11 Jesus did not fullfil the Law. He was never recognized as a prophet or Messiah
