My Notes: THE WORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS 14 REBROADCAST|| THE REMNANT VOICE || 27TH NOV 2024 Introduction Theme: The sermon explores the concept of the "Crown of Righteousness," emphasising the importance of living a life of obedience, intimacy with God, and works rooted in divine will rather than human applause. Key Scriptures: Revelation 3:11: "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown." 2 Timothy 4:7-8: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." Matthew 16:27: "For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works." Matthew 5:20: "For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." Purpose: To prepare believers for the imminent return of Christ by teaching the prerequisites for receiving the Crown of Righteousness-a reward for those who manifest righteousness through their works, rooted in God’s will and empowered by intimacy with Him. Main Teachings 1. The Nature of the Crown of Righteousness The crown is awarded by Jesus, the righteous judge, for works of righteousness. Grace vs. Works: While salvation is by grace (Ephesians 2:8-9), believers are saved unto good works (Ephesians 2:10). Rewards are based on how believers fulfil the divine assignments preordained for them. 2. Requirements for the Crown of Righteousness a. Exceeding Righteousness (Matthew 5:20) Definition: Righteousness that surpasses the external, hypocritical practices of the scribes and Pharisees. Key Areas of Exceeding Righteousness: Giving: Not for public recognition (Matthew 6:1-4). Prayer: Done in secret, seeking God's attention, not man's (Matthew 6:5-6). Fasting: Without display or seeking human approval (Matthew 6:16-18). Lesson: True righteousness seeks to please God, not to gain human applause. The audience must always be God, and the motivation must be His pleasure. b. Obedience to God's Will (Matthew 7:21-23) True Obedience: Saying "Lord, Lord" is not enough; one must do the will of God. Illegitimate works (anomia) result in rejection by Jesus, even if performed in His name. Intimacy: Intimacy with Christ is the foundation for works that are recognised and rewarded by Him. Without this relationship, works are illegitimate. 3. The Fight of Faith Challenges in Completing Divine Assignments: Distractions and opposition from the enemy. Weariness in the journey. Paul’s Testimony: He fought the fight, finished the race, and kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). Lesson: Believers must persist in obedience, relying on God’s strength to fulfil their divine assignments. Illustrations and Examples The Religion of Hypocrisy: Pharisees’ acts of giving, praying, and fasting were designed to attract human praise rather than God’s approval. Unauthorized Works: Believers must avoid using God's gifts for personal ambition or illegitimate projects. Intimacy with God ensures that our works align with His will. Paul’s Life as a Model: Paul's journey exemplifies a life of focus, obedience, and perseverance, resulting in the Crown of Righteousness. Practical Applications Seek God’s Will: Spend time in prayer and scripture to discern God's specific assignment for your life. Prioritise Intimacy with God: Foster a relationship with God through consistent devotion and obedience. Reject Hypocrisy: Avoid actions motivated by human recognition. Seek God’s approval in all things. Be Spiritually Disciplined: Practise righteousness in giving, prayer, and fasting as acts of worship to God. Fight the Good Fight: Stay focused on your divine assignment, overcoming distractions and challenges with faith and perseverance. My Key Takeaways The Crown of Righteousness is a reward for those who manifest righteousness through their works, rooted in God’s will. Hypocrisy disqualifies us from God’s rewards. Intimacy with Christ is the foundation for legitimate works. The fight of faith involves perseverance in fulfilling God’s purposes, despite opposition. True righteousness seeks God's approval above all else. Prayers For Purity of Heart: "Lord, take away every obstruction to the growth of the fruit of the Spirit in my life. Remove spiritual blindness and make me pure in heart, so I may walk consistently in Your ways." For Strength to Overcome Weakness: "Father, let my spirit be stronger than every influence of the flesh. Keep me worthy of Your name and Your kingdom in all seasons." For Alignment with God’s Will: "Lord, deliver me from works of illegality and illegitimacy. Help me to produce works rooted in intimacy with You and obedience to Your will." For God’s Audience: "Lord, may my works be directed toward pleasing You alone. Keep me from the distractions of human applause and help me focus on Your glory." For Faithful Service: "Father, empower me to fight the good fight, finish my course, and keep the faith, so I may receive the Crown of Righteousness." Conclusion The Crown of Righteousness awaits those who persist in fulfilling God’s purposes with exceeding righteousness and obedience. Avoid the pitfalls of hypocrisy and illegality by pursuing intimacy with Christ and aligning your works with His will. As Apostle Arome reminds us, "Seek to please God alone, for His reward is eternal."

Father God give me strength, I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I often face challenges that can seem insurmountable especially with raising two children with special needs. I’m trying to balance everything but Lord I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children. HEAVENLY FATHER Thank you for giving ME strength to keep going.💕

Quit your begging. Mammon keeps you poor forever. You are under it's curse. God blesses richly and abundantly, and brings no sorrow with it
