The Bible is actually a collection of different books written by different prophets and observers and kings.... It doesn't have a single language... Everything must be translated.... St.Thomas came to spread the word of Jesus upon the invitation of the Pandya king during 50AD.... He then built seven churches in Kerala during the 60AD timeline and all of them standing high.... It's the same with Muslim Arabs in 700AD who settled in Kerala and mixed with the locals....

Do you know of any scriptures left behind by Thomas? I doubt that he had much contact with the roman world/ the other apostles when he was so far from home. He must have written his own teachings (inspired by God) partly different than those in the canonical bible. Or do you just use the bible?

@@bertlammens4392 Well, the main monuments left by him are the seven churches established here.... St.Thomas came here following the Jewish settlers in the area which settled for the spice trade.. And we did use Hebrew and Aramaic for centuries, we have aramaic scripts from 10th century.... Most of the proof of his teachings were burnt down by the Portuguese during their invasion into southern India, they burned down most of our scriptures because we weren't "Christian" enough and we prayed in a different language other than a Latin derived language... They also blew down Mosques and temples, but they lost their rule for a century to our native kingdoms for a century which was eventually overthrown by the British.... And at present, we r joined Catholicism because of the similarities and r under the vatican but we preserve and practice it our own way... Yea, we use the same bible now...😅

Actually that name was given by Portuguese and till then it was known as malankara nasranis; nasrani is word for christian in syriac and arabic. In fact the full malayalam translation of st thomas christian itself is mar thoma nasranis where mar is syriac for saint and thoma is syriac malayalam for thomas.

Ancient Christian traditions of the apostle Judas Thomas link him to Parthia and northwestern India(i.e. modern-day Pakistan). These traditions are not necessarily in conflict with eachother, especially since Parthians ruled much of northwestern India during the early first century AD. We also have ancient Christian traditions that link him to south India as well. 🙂

according to prophet sadhu sundar apostle thomas was first tortured in a horrible way the skin of his back was cut by the people who were executing him i'm sure he was bleeding and and by having the wound open on his back those ungodly people threw in his open wound in the back i can imagine that it was some type of very hot liquid pepper and after it was on his wound he was running around screaming in horrible pain i don't remember if it was on a hill or something else and after that a spear pierced him and he died.

Do Indians have any additional books beyond the Eastern Orthodox canon? Say like the book of Enoch? We know the Bible itself acknowledges other books that are not in the Bible. Which maybe they were chosen not to be included for any number of various reasons. As a book of War is mentioned, then a book of Enoch is said to mention.

Pope is keen on contradicting St. Thomas's arrival in South India because that predates the Roman Catholic church. St. Thomas preached in today's Kerala and converted local jews, hindhus, Buddhists, Jainism followed ppl. Today they known as st. Thomas Christians. St. Thomas established Christian community in 7 places of that time and even today we can see 7 churches in these places and communities. In 72 AD Thomas while preaching Mylapore today's Chennai martyred by locals and his buried in st. Thimas Mount. From ancient Times Mylapore was only pilgrimage centre for st. Thomas never came to India in the 1st place. This is a myth. Thomas went to Persian territorries and his followers then came to India. The myth of Thomas's visit in India first rose from a book called "Acts of Thomas" written far later in over 300AD. The christian crusaders forcibly demolished the Shiva temple and built what is called the Thomas church in South India. Then they conjured this fake story to convert more people and to demean the Brahmins by saying Thomas was killed by worshippers of Ma Kali.

And no it hadn't existed in India for 1500 years before claimed/said arrival of Thomas, Hinduism has no founder and is actually a naturally evolved religion with earliest traditions dating back to atleast 2500 BCE or more (with modern relatables). I never questioned Jesus or his existence, that's what wrong with the Abrahamnic religion like Christianity and Islam, always trying to proove them to be true. Jews or the Eastern religion which were pre-existing never tried converting people because they did not have any competition. They were always present. You felt the need of proof for Shiva to exist before 2000 years but opinionated that Jesus was always there, there ain't any proof.
