Tongues are good, but I seriously stand against this shambarking on the pulpit in tongues. Tongues are meant to edify you and build your person up; are we trying to impress the congregation here? This is the one thing that discourages me to stay connected during a live service at the beginning. You should speak in tongues in a congregation only if you can interpret it 1 Cor. 14:1-40; emphasis on verses 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 19, 22 etc... Any new comer (unbeliever) here will be lost. Please Apostle, look into this. I love your Ministry with all my heart, but I will say this to every Church that I follow; Opening prayer cannot and should not be done in tongues.

​​@@missgitau7128 I'm not the writer of the Bible, and I know very well what it means to be in an atmosphere saturated by the Holy Spirit; I am talking to the people on the pulpit leading the prayer. The same Bible also says that: "the Spirit of the Prophet is subject to the Prophet" 1 Cor. 14:32. Go and read all the scriptures I have quoted in my post before coming here with a baseless and emotional argument.

Why are you jumping 1 cor 14:2 ‭1 Corinthians 14:2 KJV‬ [2] For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. @@anselamanyanwu5866 the whole chapter should be read, and tongues should be spoken. Please don't misunderstand me; I am not against speaking in tongues; I am against a person who is leading prayer on the pulpit and who just blasts in tongues instead of carrying people along. A person who speaks in tongues on the pulpit should be able to interpret it to bless the hearers, some of whom might be brand new believers or even newcomers (unbelievers).
