If you feel overwhelmed by this lesson, play it half speed and record the notes in a tab format. Focus on one short segment at a time and once comfortable, move to the next. You will eventually find the note repetition in scales will help and it will start to flow. Keep at it, bit by bit and you will be rewarded with a wonderful piece of music.

How do you record notes in a tab format? I'm struggling but it's really nice lesson thank you!!
@andrewperros9842 жыл бұрын
There is something called AnthemScore or otherwise make a record of the notes by ear. It can be done with patience.

Thanks so much! I am reading “birds without wings” and wanted to know what a cantada was all about. I searched KZbin and found a lot of lousy music videos but then I found yours. This video brought me back to music I had heard and loved years ago, without knowing the name or cultural relevance. Superb!

Pinkie or thumb for those cut-offs? Lovely tutorial, manga mou, I will practice.
@apostolosapostolidis10844 жыл бұрын
it depends on the strings you want to cut off and on which chord do you play. For example if you play Dm you have to use your ring finger but when you play an Am chord you use your pinkie for the fifth and fourth string and your thumb for the low E string.

Hello ! I want to know what is the kind of your guitar ? Or it's name please
@apostolosapostolidis1084 Жыл бұрын
it's an Apartian (the name of the luthier) guitar made somewhere in the 50's

Thanks for the Video(s) - I really dig them. M'aresoun poly! But I don't quite understand what frets you are holding with the barre chord (rhythm guitar). Could you explain please? It's D minor, right? So we need D, F, A - but where do you get the A from?
@apostolosapostolidis10845 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex. Firts of all thanks for watching my videos. On the question you asked I'm not using a barre chord. I have tuned my low E string to D and I' m playing a rhythm pattern based in my three last strings (D A D). I'm also playing a bass line according to the melody in the third part of it. If you can read music you can find the rhythm pattern at the 6:18 of the video. I hope I helped you

Perfect video. Thanks a lot. Your guitar looks and sounds really nice . Could you tell me what kind it is? Is drop d tuning typical for rembetiko rythm guitar?
@lucasabrams18284 жыл бұрын
Peter Lustig His guitar is probably a traditional handmade guitar made by Greek luthiers specialized in rembetiko music. It’s very close yet very far from a parlor-classical guitar. It has silver strings and parallel bracing. Greek folk guitar playing focuses in the use of bass lines as well as rhythm playing. The use of drop d tuning is common for some songs. Mr Apostolidis is doing an excellent job and you may also want to check out mr Dimitris Mystakidis for additional information.

there is one site that has a scale generator for bouzouki (4-string and 3-string), but you can take the notes and apply them at a guitar (The site has an english option so you will find your way) www.bouzouksis.com/3str.php?lang=en
