Why can't Microsoft & Azure make us attach the app directly from the store, and also update from the store within the portal?

@9:46 - How did you attach that MSIX file ? or did you attach the zip file? why did you skip that part?

I skipped that part as it was in episode 1 of the series and I don't want to repeat the same content all the time. You attach a disk image with the MSIX inside. The zip was just so that Windows explorer could open the file and I could show you the manifest.

Why doesn't Microsoft supply their gallery images with up to date built-in apps straight from the marketplace? Would save having to do any of this 🤔

It's a good point. You'd still need to do something like this if you have store disabled in your environment, but yes supplied with up to date apps would be best by far.

My wish exactly :) but really useful video and finally managed to update the “inbox apps” with the latest versions rather than them being v2021. I use powershell to install the packages If we could download the packages without having to auth that would be even better as I could then set the download of the latest ones as part of the build, but agree if MS updated them with the monthly image updates it would be much easier

@@JimMoyle if only we knew someone who could suggest that 🤔 I have the problem where my packer build subscription doesn't have internet access which makes it impossible to pull down packages from external repositories.
