Hey, thanks for this tutorial! I'm just wondering if I want to have show all the images I have taken in a gallery-like function, how would I do that? Like I don't want the image value to be changed each time I take a new picture...

store it in the tiny db with a tag and every time you take a new one have the value of the tag change. so it gets stored as a different name or tag. to call for them after you take them have that same tag name value add to a list which the user can pic from.

Dou you know how to divide the screen in 2 sections? ....I mean, one section for Camera visualization and the rest for some buttons ( I do not want to see the camera at full screen )... Note: Facebook´s Messenger have this feature when you invoke the camera but wants to still writing.

you would use the same steps but just replace the camera function you brought into the project in the design editor and click and drag the camcorder which is right above the camera function. Same blocks just calling for the camcorder instead. if you would like to see a video let me know. hope this helps.

simple app inventor 2.0 Sorry forgot got about the KZbin part, for that it could not be done in the app, you would have to use the tinywebDB and send it to your server once there, you would have to process it and send it to KZbin to be uploaded, but to do it from the app directly to KZbin I have no real solution. there may be a way but i don't know at this point sorry.

nice tutorial mate, but somehow I can't find those pics stored anywhere in my phone after they're taken and set as an image on main screen :/ Where is it stored?

They are stored in the main directory on the phone so if you where to download a file explorer for your phone like es explorer and backed all the way out to look at the main directory you would find it stored there. if you would like a video of how to store it to the file for your gallery i can. this way of doing it is more for an app which will use the pic with in the app itself not out side of it. here the link to the explore that i use: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop

if i take a portrait (vertical) shot ... it always puts the pic in landscape form ... What settings do I need to use so the pic is always shows the same way i originally took the photoshot??? .

i tried to find this in my app and figure what was going on when i was making my new video, which shares photos and found nothing which this had happen, my first guess would be that since your app calls for the phones native phone app to take the photo I would guess that in you settings on your photo app might have landscape as default, or the gyro in the photo is off. I ran it on other phones and tables and found this not to be a problem but like I side its the phones native photo app which tell your app the orientation of the photo when it is sent back to it.

nice tutorial. I tried to follow this, but keep getting error com.android.camera and ask to force close the camera. I'm using mac, with emulator. Is is because of the emulator? thanks

Yes this is because your emulator on your computer doesn't have a camera so when it looks for a default cam it asks to close because there is none. Pack it and install it on your phone, this will solve your problem.

i wanted to make an app that shows you a scary pic, screams and makes you take a selfie of your reaction, so basically you try to take a selfie and creepy pic comes up as you react it takes your pic. lol idk how to do that.

you can do this with a java but it is not possible with app inventor at this time do to the fact that app inventor needs to open the camera app in order to take one
