I once spent a night on Blood Mountain (with a tent in the opposite corner from the one in your video). It was in the 30s and raining, with mist coming through the windows. As a bonus, a skunk visited during the night, and climbed up the side of my tent. The next morning, I walked down to Neel Gap, with water pouring over those slick rocks. I'm glad you were lucky to have such a beautiful morning.

My wife and I watched you on the CDT last year, so good to see you out again. These 2000 mile hikes look pretty daunting to us in UK. I'm sure they're not as easy as they look in your videos. Best of luck with the trail this year.

Most times u can recognize an AT thruhiker who has hiked out west, PCT &/or CDT cause they usually get up early & hike into the darkness. I am sure u will be hiking longer days & well after sunset once u get ur trail legs. ENJOY the “right” coast.

@@littleskittlehikes I noticed that Z-packs now has a duplex that copies the HMG tent with zippers and magnetic tie backs. I would love to hear how the HMG is working out for you. Section hiking the AT and I'm about 1/3 done so a new tent will be used. Da Breeze

Hum, 2 years ago I was going to stay at Blue Mountain shelter, but there was some guy in the crouched up in the same corner like you just showed at 3:oop. He gave us a bad vibe, I think he was on drugs, we pushed on. Hope it's not the same guy.
