The icicles are gorgeous, but I get a little shiver looking at them knowing how cold it is. You’re doing so well in this weather. 👏🏼

I’m always fascinated by what feels easy and what doesn’t. I’d take a smooth, solid path with a steep uphill over rough but flat terrain ANY day! I’m watching with interest to see how the trail is going to be when I get there 😁 Thanks for the icicle pics! 🥰 6:39 That horrible rock scramble; I was dealing with that in 21 when I bumped into a southbounder who was just about to finish his hike. He gave me a much needed pep talk 😆

Enjoying the videos. Dick's Creek Gap to Winding Stair Gap is just over 40 miles so that'll be an impressive feat to knock out in one day. Good luck!

Winding stair has an easy hitch into Franklin. There's also "The Grove" under new management but I don't know if they're up and running this early. You could also check out Sherpa Al for shuttles, they're good people.

I am staying at the Grove right now. They are great people. I even had the vice mayor of Franklin but me a beer.
