Great views on this one, Jim! Looks like you had a great day, weatherwise. Cooking with Coke Zero would be interesting. 😆 Glad you found water. Your campsite was so nice and cozy.

Yeah everything was really nice and green.I didn't vomit on this trip but did get bad sick later on and was down and out for over a week. The views are hard to beat from up there and i love the place kinda like you love the Unitas I guess. Lol,no CZ flavored potatoes as the spring was flowing great as it usually is. Thanks my friend,have a great weekend!

Awesome views all around! Fun to see so far and all the fresh green trees and grass. I con just imagine the fresh air! Good that you could keep going even though you felt bad. You're getting out for overnighters on a regular basis- I wish I was too- nice way to spend an evening by the fire! :) Jen

Hi Jim. Per another video's comments, am writing an email to offer more detailed comments. This was a very relaxing and enjoyable video. I've hiked by this area many times and never get tired of the views from Buzzard Rock. Sorry you got sick, hope you are much better. God Bless!

Those views are unmatchable!! 😍 It's awesome that you have a 5 over 5,000 peaks patch! I've done 2 of those peaks now. Maybe someday I can touch the other 3. Never grow up! 😄 Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional, my friend! I hope you're doing alright. Coke flavored mashed potatoes aren't gonna help you feel any better. Get well soon! 😁💚👊
@JimHayesHiking13 күн бұрын
Yep,those views from there are very hard to beat. I hope you do get to touch the remaining three. I actually got worse and worse which is rare for me since I hardly ever get sick and up until yesterday I was pretty much bedridden but am feeling alot better today. I was glad the spring was flowing good and I didn't have to settle for coke flavored taters,lol! Thanks Ice Bear! Have a great week ahead!

One can never really tire of them amazing views!! Can't beat fresh spring water!! Does one need to reserve a campsite for up there? Great that you did have your fire! Keeping my finger crossed that I can get out for a least one couple day camping trip this year...but guess we'll see. Always enjoy your adventures!

Whitetop and Buzzard Rocks are special. I have to go there at least a couple of times per year. This week I finally did twin pinnacles on Haw Orchard Mtn. I had always skipped it to do the Wilburn Ridge trails. Thanks for sharing Jim.
@JimHayesHiking12 күн бұрын
How'd you like the pinnacles?
@JeffMeadowsOutdoors12 күн бұрын
@@JimHayesHiking It was a nice hike. I enjoyed seeing the the view from the opposite direction. Those small twisted trees were cool to walk through too.

I know what you mean about almost turning back. I almost did the same hiking up a creek draw on my hike yesterday. Stuck with it and felt much better up the ridge, thank goodness. It must be this heat bubble we’re in but it seems like we never paid no mind to the heat when we were kids. White Top looks awesome! Kinda like Little Hump and Big Hump up on Roan.
@JimHayesHiking12 күн бұрын
Well,I got home and gradually got worse and was down and out for over a week so I have no idea what got hold of me.Whitetop is an amazing place for sure. Thanks Joe!
