In response to The Rock being the last "movie star you go to a movie to see" I kinda agree but I think Tom Holland might also take that title. Earlier this year my friends and I went to see Uncharted. The theater manager said that she was blown away by how many people were coming to see it. They had put it in a single room and had to move showtimes around for other movies that nobody cared about so they could add more for Uncharted. She said there was a week between when No Way Home left the theater and when Uncharted came in and they were dead that week so she credited Tom Holland for having a rabid fan base. Granted this is a theater in a small city in Nebraska but still means something.

Kevin Fiege said that it was “too early” after Chadwick’s passing to recast T’Challa. However, I believe that it makes absolute sense to have a variant of him in Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, followed by whoever that actor portraying as Black Panther to be the recasted version in the MCU.

There’s been some allegations of him being abusive (I can’t exactly recall what it was but I’ve seen it mentioned in articles and stuff.) I know that the man’s dead and that he technically can’t defend himself anymore but at the same time you can’t ignore the rumours either. It’s kinda like how The Fabulous Moolah has had some allegations of abuse and she’s been dead for a while, and even her former students have defended her somewhat (which I can’t blame) but also it’s really hard to ignore the allegations. Much like William they might have been well liked, or in moolah’s case a pioneer, but the thing is not everyone’s experiences meeting certain people are universal.

I never cared about the car movies or wrestling, so I missed the hype about the Rock. To me he was just the actor from the stupid car movies. I watched the new Jumanjis, because I liked the originals and loved the rest of the main cast (Gillan, Black, Hart, Awkwafina) and found Johnson to be an actual decent actor with comedic talent. If he does more stuff that isn't car movies, I might check it out.
