Rick is on board so I'm guessing the story is going to be much more intact this time, but I don't have high hopes. People can't just adapt something these days, there always has to be changes for no reason, or try to push and agenda in kids content. I just want the book I read as a kid to come to life on screen.

Adaptions always come with changes and I think they've made some great decisions to update the book and make it more inclusive while maintaining the most important core elements!
