Really good insight to early game items in general. Ive always wondered myself about these expensive recipe costs and the worth. Ive always felt stronger filling my items with cheap stat items . The stepping stone ive not tried since it was new. Since they buffed it twice im gonna have a go. Definitely more a of a support role as I only see it being strong if u can stay out of range and hard to lock down in team fights while dropping these stones as long as possible,

Yeah agree. I just played a stepping stone game last night and it felt really good to just roll in magnetize, force staff out then keep spamming rocks. However I felt like I could only keep refreshing magnetize on one enemy hero. That 4 second cooldown really limits your options. But also man the limitless roll feels so good. Arcane boots and euls you can edge to edge the map in a minute lol

@@EarthSpirit.easyzdota yh i tried it a few times too and felt way better especially with force staff. Glimmer also helps. 2 main advantage i realised with stepping stones (as long as you have the mana regen) is you can endlessly roll, which is great for roaming so maxing roll 2nd as usual but i also see a case for maxing it first for early roaming. Secondlly, if you wanna farm with stones you can without penalising yourself with low stone count. So to max your smash and pull first is also viable if you want to farm earlier. Either way you can roll endlessly and farm freely after the early game.
