Nice holiday video Kurt. When you showed your speedometer passing the shack hauler did you see under your gear selector visual on the dash what speed it said. I'm Canadian, so I figured 138 K.P.H. to be about 80 M.P.H., but your dash said a bit higher. I had to laugh after you went through your chat to the wife about doing the speed limit. Hopefully they can't figure out the difference. Have fun and be safe. The best to all the family.

Kurt, My wife is just as bad as your wife, when it comes to driving. And at one point ( Many moons ago) I dove for Greyhound Bus Lines for 4 years, with another 14 years as a OTR driver. Meanwhile she half blind in one eye and has taken a race car driving course for half a day. LOL...I have come really close to kicking her out of the Pickup a few times. I agree with you virtually 99% of the time. It was 100% before you claimed a Tesla couldn't make it in the left lane. I can assure you they can. My daughter has two of those things and slow they are not! When riding with my son in law, much to my unspoken annoyance he literally wiped out a rather new Vet. It took 10% off the battery life but I'm sure the Vet lost a few MPGs in the process also. :)

WOW western Nebraska, and Wyoming are so green, after 14 yrs in Northern Colorado, and growing up in Nebraska I have never seen it that green in July. In the 90's there were 9 yrs of drought, brown and dusty, yuck.

Go to the pioneer museum off 80 California trail interpretive center. Nice place. Go home via hwy 50 the old pony express trail through nevada and see leaman caves on eastern side of nv on the way. Shasta caverns north of Redding is nice too.

Better get a very detailed underbody wash, nothing like salt brine to destroy a Jeep product, it's like driving in the N.E. US in winter, no sand only salt brine to melt snow and ice.

Loved this video Kurt ! We call em donuts in indiana too and boy how could you NOT do one !!! Fine idea to me!! Your wife just isnt into thrills. Driving a car after going in a semi is such a let down. Course i have a need for speed and its even better doing 85 in a big rig and hearing that big engine purr. All in all looked like you were having a good time. I know you sure dont get to stop and investigate new places on the semi. So vacationing is nice. Happy times Schmidt family.!! ❤

The reasons you were seeing more Hondas and Toyotas. Bc, there're more of them on the road. If you willing to pay more for inferior products to support the union's wages that on you. Driving from 75mph to 80mph, you'll gained 5mins in one hour. As soon as you stop at the rest area or fuel stop, the car that you had passed will be right there.
