Idk why you guys are all hating on the pianist. It was great. The pianist was trying to capture and get certain emotions out with the notes they were playing dominantly. I think the voice adds to the piano but they both do both together.

I think the piano is great, don't let them tell you other wise. Your band has your own style, don't get rid of it. You should replace the midi strings with real strings though.

I actually thought the piano itself was good, that and the reverb on the vocals transforms the song into having an eerrie atmosphere. Though the piano shouldve been recorded live, in a fitting acoustic enviroment, rather than through a MIDI keyboard. And she's vocally spot on. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed it =)

This video on left, VLC player on right with original Harvest track. VLC playback speed at 0.94x, hit play on youtube, immediately hit play on VLC. Pause/Play on youtube quickly to sync it just right. Every 20 seconds or so, VLC might be a tad ahead so tap pause/play once or twice quickly. Repeat as needed. Adjust volume of VLC... the blending of the two = GORGEOUS... at least until the screwy keyboard solo here. O.o

It was played live on a keyboard but the player didnt have a pedal to give it a more real piano feel. Our mistake was to over produce and take away tiny human errors in timing away.

If people would watch to the end of this video they would see the keyboard/piano was played by a human. The guy who played the song is a jazz player called Francis Ezikwa. If we planned to make a commercial release then of course we would have recorded with a grand piano but we did this to show off our new singer Mary-Ella. The critism did help because I looked again at some of the piano on our upcoming album, so thanks. Once complete we will upload a song for you to hear her sing an original.

I enjoyed this! You've got a great voice- great idea for a cover. I do however agree about the comments related to the piano as used in the song- First of all, the sound is very prominent in the midrange, interfering with your vocals. It's a great sort of 'solo' gothic piano sound, but it doesnt work as the basis for the song. Also, the melody being played should perhaps be less tonally complicated and intricate, letting the vocal melody carry things along. It'd really be great to see this redone- You're really talented as a vocalist, and it's a great idea-
