cross makes excellent nibs, it's ridiculous sailor made the nib on their flagship pen, i own 2, the black obsidian and the platinum, i like everything about the pen except for the nib, i didn't know at first that sailor made them, i thought they were too scratchy (the tines are aligned), i'm not talking about feedback, i mean scratchy that i had to take the chance and smooth them out myself, which i didn't like doing on an expensive pen, but i had no choice because they were uncomfortable to write with i have a king of pen demonstrator and it wrote like a dream right out of the box, extremely smooth and unbelievable to write with, made me say wow and got my adrenaline going while writing with it the first time, i'll never forget that moment why couldn't sailor duplicate it for the peerless? why should they? cross is their competitor is cross lazy or do they lack confidence in their ability to make a gold oversized nib? it certainly wasn't a rush job because they did everything else right, the pen posts securely with a beautiful click, it has weight but isn't heavy even when posted, the section is comfortable and thick, the pen looks fabulous and i don't like metal pens very much it's a very confusing decision

Thanks for information. Pen blogger in my country told me that peerless125 nib better than Montblanc149....!!!

I agree with you .. this Cross pen is a cross between a Cross and a Sailor!! LOL.
@bieberninja14 жыл бұрын
@@melodychest9020 it's basically a franken pen, it's a very confusing decision because cross makes high quality gold nibs, anyone who has ever owned an apogee can verify what i am saying, i just don't know why cross and taccia contract out their nibs to sailor, maybe they're just lazy i guess but anyeays what a name, melody chest, very seductive

@@bieberninja1 Cross does not make gold nibs. I think now they source their townsend nibs from Pelikan. Not sure about Century... could be made in-house
@bieberninja13 жыл бұрын
@@sergiymotorin5769 they don't give very much information on their own website so who knows who makes their nibs

Superb pen. Bent clip is distinctive but takes some getting used to as initially it looks as if it has been bent. Attention to detail is remarkable. A silver version like the gold would have been very nice as it wouldn’t show scratches or fingerprints.

In the pen box, we can read Cross U. S. A., but the pen is made in China. The pen don't have engraving who it's made. When it's made in Lincoln or Ireland it's engraving with MADE IN U. S. A. or MADE IN IRELAND but not MADE IN CHINA engraved in the pen. In the pen box, we can read made in China. Made in China it's relationed, Generaly. with a bad product. Antonio, from Alicante, Spain.

This Cross Peerless are made in Lincoln or in Popular Republic of China? I prefer American manifacturing.
