Having this just randomly pop up in my suggestions was truly a blessing! I’ve recently heard God calling out to me. I’m 55 and was raised in a family of God loving people but I’ve struggled to be obedient and nurture my relationship with Him though I’ve ALWAYS felt Him with me and He’s helped me through so much! I truly felt He led me to this channel and series. I’m feeling His soothing presence as I watch. I would love to visit His homeland some day. My Mother in law was able to a few years back. There was a late preacher, David Pawson, who explains very well in one of his videos this intriguing moment of Jesus’ childhood. 😊 He says that in the Jewish tradition of that day, the boy of 12 has been grown up enough to be counted as a man and to start participating in his father’s business. And that transformation usually happened when presented in the temple during the festival. So, when Joseph, Mary and Jesus we’re coming to Jerusalem, Jesus was counted still as a boy and was with his mother and the women’s group, which by custom was travelling long before the men; but when, after the feast, they were leaving Jerusalem, he was already considered as a man and supposed to be with his father and the men’s group. (That’s why they didn’t understand that he was missing.) Instead, He was in the temple, participating in His real Father’s business. I find this explanation very realistic and trustworthy. 😊

Correct. I would add ... Yahusha was said to be astounding the priests within the synagogues when he was twelve - which tells us a consecrated man (defined by Father) is authorised to preach the scripture. These days: Christians have no idea what a man is - because they immediately assume authority to preach the moment they receive the slightest revelation. Yahusha was responsible with the revelation He received - and understood how to preach effectively.

Literal Israel will not be our home. The Bible is referring to Gods people as being spiritual Israel in the latter days. We need to fast and pray for God to help us understand scripture. Not follow the popular beliefs like the Jews during the time of Christ. That’s how Satan deceives you. People are too comfortable just going along with tradition, and rejecting new light, just like in Christ’s day. And the seventh day is the Sabbath ( Saturday), not the first day Sunday, which is the popular traditional belief. God blessed and sanctified Saturday the seventh day, not Sunday the first day, as it says in Genesis 2:2 &3 It’s also the fourth commandment that God wrote in stone in the Ten Commandments. God wrote it in stone with His own finger for a reason. Showing that He will never change His Ten Commandments. Satan and mankind go around changing and twisting Gods word to deceive the masses. He always mixes truth with error. Study to show thy self approved. Fast and pray, and don’t give into the pressure of popular tradition. It’s only our salvation that’s at stake 🙏🏼🙏🏼🥰

My husband and I co-hosted tours to the Holy Land for many years. We had many repeat travelers-one who will be going on his ninth tour this year. During his third tour, he turned to me and said, I actually know where I am and can tell other people about the place. When one arrives in the Holy Land, I have found that they find it so vastly different than what they imagined that it is hard to get one’s bearings. Before my husband and I started doing tours, it was important enough for us to return to Israel that we saved money monthly so we would be able to afford going every other year. We had to do without some things, but one’s spiritual enrichment can’t be measured in money. If you have the opportunity to go again, plan for a 10-day trip that is solely in Israel. Those who are fortunate enough to go more than once to the Holy Land will see the major sites, but if you have a good tour host, they plan different things each year. My friend who is planning his 9th trip, failed to go one year. It was that year that we went to the area where David killed the giant. The river was dry so we were able to let everyone gather stones for souvenirs if they so desired. That is the only year that we have been able to go to that site and he was bummed that he missed it.

My best friend was in army during gulf war, if you remember Jordan was our ally then, we had a few. He was on leave and visited every holy site from Jordan side and took pictures, when he came home and showed me i was blown away at the access the Jordans gave him, as dressed in military uniforms and gear, he literally could have free reign over the most delicate sites. His pics proved this and even climbing petra walls it was little restrictions because of war time.

who is this "Yeshua" you are referring to? The ONLY record we have of the Jewish Messiah is found in Scripture in Koine Greek and His name is exclusively recorded as " Ἰησοῦ" per the instructions of the Angel Gabriel, which is translated into English as Jesus... in Hebrew the name would be יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ which is translated into English as Joshua... now of course there is the disgraceful name the Jews have recorded in the Talmud to blaspheme Jesus and mock His followers by calling Him "Yeshua", but surely you would not be using a Talmudic slur insult to Jesus wasting away in hell and human excrement as a way YOU refer to The Lord.... would you???

It suffice to mention that after being turned away from the city's inns, due to no-vancies there, Joseph & Mary had no choice but to go to the stockyard, a place, in history, where priests tend the lambs that were prepared for the Passover ceremony, an annual event. During the reign of King David, it was a farming area dotted with towers amidst small paddocks of flocks of lambs. There were feeding and work stations, where the priests, swaddled the lambs, to protect them during their journey to Jerusalem, where they were to be sacraficed. Lambs prepared for the passover had to be without bemish and with no broken bones, hence the need to oversee them from the towers, care for, and protect them. It is not coincidence that God had His Son born there, as Jesus was the Lamb of God without blemish, and was swaddled in lambs' swaddling cloth, and placed in a manger.

I think Jesus led a normal life. He had 4 brothers and 2 sisters at least. The Bible doesn't tell how many sisters , but we know there was at least two , as the word sisters is pleural . So there was plenty of work to do as the siblings were younger than JESUS. YOU CAN DEDUCT THIS YOURSELF FOR IT IS IN THE WORD. HE UNDERSTOOD FAMILY LIFE, WORK, WORSHIP AND PRAYER. HE LAUGHED, PLAYED AND WAS APART OF FAMILY AS WE ALL ARE. A priest was givenhis work in the temple at age 30. Thus it seems Jesus took up HIS MINISTRY AT AGE 30.
