Appikonda is a fisherman's village, it is having a very old Shiva temple and a big festival takes place around the temple every year during Shivaratri days. The beach is not frequented by tourists as it is far from Vizag city. You can enjoy the beauty of the sea and the Casurina trees and Cashew trees on the shores. A nice picnic spot for the enthusiasts
To get to Appikonda you need to know the proper directions. You have to go to the Vizag Steel Plant and then follow the road abutting its boundary wall
