A few years ago a family was shreaded because they left their senior parent at a hospital and refused to take her home and went on vacation. It turns out it wasn't the whole story. They had been trying to get her into a nursing home because she needed more care than they could provide. The hospital didn't want to keep her because they already had a floor of seniors waiting for long term care homes. Mom was old and frail and needed a lot of care and supervision. The family was at the point that they couldn't handle the stress and abandoned her at the hospital because they knew if they did, the hospital couldn't toss her out on the street. The hospital had to put her on a ward with the extended care patients to wait for an available room in a long care facility. I realize this family isn't the same as the ones on the video, but senior care is a huge issue in most First World countries because many have low birth rates and the senior population is huge. I have been a caregiver to family and it isn't easy, especially if they have dementia and comorbid illnesses. It is a 24 hour job and if they lose mobility and also become incontinent, most people need more assistance. We were lucky because someone came in once a day, usually, to wash my dad up and get him ready for the day for 15 minutes. They weren't always there though and sometimes he had to have a bath, if he messed himself. My mom and I are short people and he was heavy. Fortunately, he was going through a better mental time when a room opened up in the only nursing home in town and he decided to take it. He couldn't walk far and we had stairs. He was already going down hill and was on oxygen, so he was in a wheelchair not long after he moved. We wouldn't have been able to look after him ourselves. We were lucky even that he was mostly mentally back to himself for the last 11 months of his life. It was a gift. I wouldn't just leave my mom, but I understand that there may come a time that she needs more help than I can give, though.

My grandma and aunts left my grandpa in an vile nursing home that was state ran. Garbage bags with God only knows lined up in the hallway due to not paying the garbage removal people, elderly abuse. My mom came home from dealing with her own mom's stroke and heart attack to find him in filth. The A.G. closed it but before they did she moved him to another nursing home that was so wonderful. No thank you. When they brought him in he was in soiled diaper and bad bed sores. He cried during that bath not from pain but because it was my mom who did this. Cameron and his mom reaped what they sewed.

Even in her worse, when my mom was on her death bed from cancer couldn't eat, drink watter or anything, I stayed with her. Till the last moment. Yes it's hard. You're watching your parent who raised you, loves you and you are their child strugling with death. But even I wasn't sleeping, I was tired, exausted and all, I know that it made it easier for her that I was there. Even I couldn't do anything for her anymore. She knew that. She was awear. But it would crush her if I left her. I couldn't. No matter that it turned out that he wasn't his bio father, he still was his father all his life. That was the lowest, the dirtiest move from the son and cheating wife. I hope they will burn in hell. When did it became ok to be a cruel beast to your parents?No matter how old you or they are.

I watched both of my parents pass away. Mom had stomach cancer and Dad had a stroke and heart disease. Even though they didn't treat me as well as my brother I was there as much as possible

Covid robbed my mom of the chance to see grandma before she passed. It was so hard on her. I know it was probably hard but know you were blessed to be by your loved ones side.

Erm, maybe it's because it was normal when I was growing up thst im thinking this, but you say the kids were teenagers, so im baffled to why it was such a big deal that he left them at home when he went out, afterall teenagers from the age of 13 are old enough to be left alone 🤔 after all when I was growing up it was normal for teens to fend for themselves, hell my parents went away for a few nights together leaving me at home from age 12/13, at that age I was also babysitting looking after other people's kids and also had several.part time jobs and paying half my wage as rent, so, I don't see a problem leaving teens alone while their parents go out, infact I dont see a issue with leaving them alone while the parents go away for a weekend, afterall this was classed as a normal thing while growing up, plus at that age they are old enough to know how to look after themselves and be able to cook themselves a basic meal and look after the house for a few days. Saying that back when I grew up during the 80s, kids started to learn to do things for themselves from a very young age, we were taught to cook basic meals just incase we needed to make our own tea, we also knew how to clean up after ourselves and do our own washing etc from age 8, afterall our parents were not always home from work when we got in frim school, of course we didn't have our parent play taxi all the time or pick us up, we walked to school or used the school bus when it wasn't within walking distance, when we got home we either went to our after school job or were left a list of jobs to do to help out our parents, did homework and started it all again the next day, so doing washing, ironing, cooking, cleaning etc 😅was totally normal for us and no we didn't get paid to do these things like so many kids do today, i can just imagine the slap id have got if i ever suggested getting paid to do such things, we got money by working, doing jobs such as babysitting, dog walking, shop work, paper rounds, cleaning other peoples houses, doing odd jobs for people such as mowing the lawn, and doing seanonal work such as potatoe picking and beating during shooting season on farms, and of course half what we made regardless of how old we were went to our parents as rent, i was paying rent from the age of 12, afterall i was old enough to make money, i was also old enough to pay rent 🤣,as for helping around the house, we lived there therfore we had the responsibility to help out. Kids definitely have a easy life compared to how us gen x grew up, I doubt most kids today would survive a week of how it was when we grew up, 🤣

It's the shouty voice actor again. He really likes going the over-the-top melodramatics route. I wonder why these amateurish voice actors don't bother to take proper voice acting lessons and instead continue to make the same cringy mistakes, again and again. Maybe they are convinced they are "great". Maybe they work for free. Maybe the channel owners are that clueless about what real voice acting should actually be. Maybe the lot of the simply don't care as long as they get money. But there are definitely better text channels with skilled voice actors who are a pleasure to listen to. Apple Texts has some of the better ones. Other channels have a mix of good and bad ones. But this particular voice actor is probably the worst among the male voice actors. The father's voice actor did a far better job with a natural voice. But... if it's the same voice actor, FFS learn to tone down the villain roles and stop the cringy, constipated, shouty voice. Find a decent actor / voice actor and get them to explain how it should be done.
