I loved how Lucus handled it at the end. Make sure nothing medical is wrong, then hit them with how cruel they have been. I also loved how they reversed their behavior against his parents regarding their wedding. Didn't invite them. Less drama.

His dad was guilty of the hi crime of not saying anything. The exact same thing Hubby did in order to know his father did this which would mea he was there thus it would be his (The fiance of the forgotten person) primary responsibility to do so. Dad could be excused for not wanting to overstep, There is no excuse for the husband. As far as dumbass gambits go booking a wedding venue as a smoke screen just to make the next day more surprising has the spending hundred if not thousands that no matter how things played out they would never recoup the cost of or even use the venue.(A night before cancellation is going to still be full price) I'm not seeing a bright future for these two idiots. Don't be glad of support like that they may possibly create the dumbest children that the world has ever seen. Think about what an author that cared about his writing could do with this idea. Have the venue already canceled. (for a full refund thank you) so when Grandma tried she got told nothing was scheduled. Say nothing but show up with wedding rings dressed and prepared for the hike. When she says something about this. Important that she brings it up. Look at her strangely and with concern Say "We had the wedding almost a month ago, you were there. We pushed it forward because you kept saying how important this hike is to you.Obviously they would not have all their wedding pictures with them on a hike but one of them could have a small wallet size print of the couple but MIL can be seen (photo shopped) in the background. They could then fuck with mom or not however they wanted. See that took 5 minutes and even featured some real gaslighting People misuse that term to mean any lie or alternate explanation for events. It requires altering someones perception of reality in order for them to question their perceptions or interpretations of reality. (It's way more than just a lie) They could go anywhere with it but instead they followed the formula and made The hero sound like huge morons with no financial, social or ethical faculties. Don't applaud mediocrity, especially when they wasted a good premise. They could have taken this one to full Alfred Hitchcock level but instead left it at Alfred E. Neuman level.

Deborah is trying her hardest to gaslight Olivia. I'm glad Olivia talked to Lucas about this before the wedding. I'm glad Lucas is listening and not brushing aside his parents' bad behavior. Why haven't they looked into nursing homes before this. Senility is nothing to play with. I thought Olivia was going to keep up the "Deborah had forgot the date" skit. I'm glad Lucas booked an appointment with the neurologist. they did look into a retirement home! Everyone needs an aunt Theresa. LOL

Something similar happened to a close friend of mine. He was adopted. The parents that adopted him had a daughter but unfortunately couldn’t have another child so they adopted. The daughter is the most horrible person I know. So she did little things to him that would get him sad or mad, turning to lies to their parents to get him in trouble. Her plans got worse. I remember when his parents planned a trip to California in order to go both kids had to have good grades. His sister decided to change the grades on his report cart and he was forced to stay home. He would defend himself but the parents were torn. Who do you believe. So he had to stay back home for a lie. I remember parent teacher conference. My mom was there and told me what happened. The teacher called in his parents and said how amazing he is. Parents were shocked. And even showed the report card. The teacher said: someone obviously changed that. Here’s his grades. Well he was playing baseball with me and they clearly were too embarrassed to say anything. After a while , the dad came up to him and said sorry. Hugging him. My friend asked, I told the truth… I didn’t get bad grades… can you take me on a trip of my own?? The dad couldn’t really answer but looked sad. My friend said: exactly, my sister is more important, she does all sorts of rude things to me and nobody stops it. That’s why grandma and grandpa are taking me in. Oh and they are taking me to California for spring break. That was 4th grade. A long time ago. My friend has helped his grand parents a lot. While the sister hasn’t much. His parents have sent apologizing letters and emails and have tried to meet him. But he hasn’t. My friend got married, he didn’t invite his parents and sister at all. His sister shops in the store I work in. She always asks how he’s doing and I always tell her to ask him herself. She always looks down.. 1 time she admitted she regrets how she was to him. I remind her every time her actions pushed him away and she got exactly what she wanted for her birthday- him out of her life. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. My friend is married, has a car, a wife, a apartment. His sister has , a bedroom in their parents home.. the same jerk of a boyfriend who only plays video games all day. She has a part time job but no interest in getting out of her parents house..

How in what Universe can anyone get into a neurologist office in only one day? Even with designer insurance , a neurologist appointments take at least a month , and getting an appointment for any kind of testing takes another month . Ain't no way could this mother get into see a neurologist and get MRI tested with only a a day's notice.

A question that comes to my mind. Since it wasn't Lucas and Olivias wedding on that day, Whos wedding did she cancel?
@xmarianh
@xmarianh 2 жыл бұрын
She thought that she had cancelled their wedding that was the date and venue they had chosen for their wedding. They already knew she had cancelled it,so they played along like the didn't know what she did .And got married a month before the actual date they supposed to have gotten married. It was nicely done,mom thought she had ruined their wedding. 😂And gotten things her way but it blew up in her face big time.

I never understood these "Family trip is only for family". I mean sure, it's correct, but in these types of events, usually they WILL join the family. Sometimes they won't consider them part of the family because "stranger" but... Are they gonna look at their grandchild like that too ? And basically everyone except the son ? What a blast that must be...

I've had that happen many times from relatives. Like real relatives that I've known since I was a baby. Blood or just married. But I'm a jerk and laugh and say ""That's okay. I don't even THINK of you unless I actually see you! Ha Ha! 😄" or "Oh! Really? Should I leave and come back later since I'm not important? I really don't mind or care." And then that person looks like the ahole that they are and have to backtrack fast. They only think they're slick. I'm actually a mean one lol

You do know that you can make appointments at the doctor for both your parents for the same day that's not odd at all. Just like you can make appointments for all your children on the same day for their check up. It saves time from running back and forth to the hospital.

Omg. As mom can't you be happy for your own don and his wife. Your dil is your daughter too. Know that he is your only son, a more good reason to be happy, support and built a beautiful relationship. Don't worry, you won't lose him if you always support and love his wife. They will have beautiful children and you will become a nana, isn't that great 🥰🥰🥰. But be ready to lose him if you do the other way round. So many toxic mil now.
